Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form.
With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option. Why not? Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years a War that should have taken a Real Military Power less than a week to win. This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like “a paper tiger.” When the people living in Moscow, and all of the Great Cities, Towns, and Districts all throughout Russia, find out what is really going on with this War, the fact that it’s almost impossible for them to get Gasoline through the long lines that are being formed, and all of the other things that are taking place in their War Economy, where most of their money is being spent on fighting Ukraine, which has Great Spirit, and only getting better, Ukraine would be able to take back their Country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that! Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act. In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!
DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Sep 23, 2025,
“...think they are planning is to provoke Russia into attacking a NATO country...”
Watching for a FF.
The recent “NATO air space incursions” reek of failed FF attempts.
Trump ALWAYS says what he thinks.
We are making money off the war so Trump has stated so many times in so many ways. It is a shame that Trump is helping to disarm Ukraine by introduction of more arms and equipment. He is trying to save as much of the investment of time and effort by the US since 2008s first US coup in Ukraine, and the second coup in 2012. As long as the US controls some part of Ukraine, it is a sort of victory where we controlled none of it prior to 2008.
Russia is now patiently disarming the AFU by killing their soldiers enmasse. By the end of Nov-Dec 25, Russia will send another 300,000 men to exploit the fall of the Ukrainian cities. Russia is destroying the AFU. Trump is making money.
If Trump was actually interested in saving lives, he would have ended the war but his greed has turned America into profiting off the war as if this is a good thing. Trump really just wanted to salavage any part of Ukraine, but the major miscalculation the west made in this conflict with Russia is that the Russian economy has exploded and their military has expanded nearly 4x from 2022. The Russian military and economy is expanding. Russia is essentially fighting a police action, rather than a war. Russia has the luxury of being able to kill Ukrainians with stand off munitions rather than sending in the infantry to close with and destory. Ukraine is so short of infantry they can no longer man the trenches and oftentimes Russia takes defensive fortiticaitons without firing a shot. At this state of the war, Ukraine is beginning to realize they cannot stop the Russians anywhere and that they are suffering massive casulaties compared to the Russians as their units disengrate under constant contact without relief. No longer does Ukraine have units to plug the gaps, and their over-realiance on drones to replace infantry is now costing them the ability to hold land as in the past.
Sanctions have failed. Trump has put Brics on steroids, and now Russia has more trade partners than the EUropeans.
“Well, I guess you’re out of luck, as there aren’t many putin supporters here...”
So, you do agree that there are Putin supporters here.
Delta7 for one. Who are the others?
I know of several that post Russian propaganda from TASS and RT.
A farewell note would not trick ordinary Americans into believing that he is selling weapons to NATO for Ukraine’s use when the US is 90% of NATO’s budget. This accounting trick fools no one who has served in NATO. Trump is still producing weapons and making money off the war. This is the most callousness ever exhibited by an American President when it comes to foreign wars. This war would be over with Trump’s blood money.
“Most of the ones you ukraine supporters think support putin, actually are just tired of zelensky getting rich and grifting from the U.S. of billions of hard earned taxpayer’s money, “
Source?
In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Trump: "In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!", ansel12 wrote: “on their own” means we are spending billions to build new factories and refurbish old weapon factories to keep Ukraine supplied in weapons, the president also is training the Ukrainian armed forces and is spending billions to maintain and move troops around to various NATO border nations like the Baltics and Finland and spending billions to preposition weapons and stocks as a defense against Russia while the president expends political capitol as he continues to try and force Europe away from Russian energy and to have harsher sanctions, and to participate more and continue building up their militaries and military budgets.
Outside of demanding help with funding from the rest of NATO, the President’s support for Ukraine is pretty much the same.
At the link, the President said Sept 20, that the US is not funding the war, but is instead making money selling arms to NATO. He stresses he doesn't want to make money off the war, he wants the war to stop. By stressing the US is making money on the war he is making it clear the US IS NOT FUNDING THE WAR.
President Trump: "NATO, as you know...its very important....they are funding the entire thing. They're paying for the missiles, the tanks. They're paying for anything sent over there; it goes to NATO, and then NATO does what they want with it. And in this case I guess they give it to Ukraine."
So if there's training of Ukrainian armed forces and movement of troops, it's paid for by NATO.
President Trump said the US has given Ukraine $350 Billion dollars. Zelensky demands $40 billion in budgetary support.
The ELites and Zelensky didn't get filthy rich spending President Trump's 'political capital'. Money from the US is the only way this farce lasted as long as it has.
There will be no more US military support for Ukraine, so Russia will keep the regions it has. If the proxy war continues to attack Russia, Ukraine will lose more land.
Ukraine is going from carte blanche Biden to reliance on NATO, which is essentially broke. NATO/Zelensky were planning to fight as long as the US paid for it all. There will be a big, noticeable difference in the Ukraine war. NOTHING in Ukraine is 'pretty much the same."
Trump will not let Russia threaten or attack Eastern Europe which is what they are now doing. We’re not getting out, we’re getting in but we will be hiding behind NATO. General Caine is on the job. Watch for Russian retreats in the coming months. Putin has lost his mind or is doing the bidding of China. Either way Russia is going to experience pain.
Gemini analysis
A statement from a national leader is not just an observation; it is an instrument of national policy and a strategic communication tool. Its goal is to shape reality, not just describe it.
Here is an analysis of the strategic implications of such a presidential statement:
### The Statement as an Act of Strategic Communication
When a president makes a statement like the one you provided, it is intended to have specific effects on multiple audiences:
1. **To Ukraine (The Ally):** The primary purpose is to bolster morale and signal unwavering commitment. By framing victory as not only possible but achievable (”Ukraine, with the support...is in a position to fight and WIN”), the statement encourages Ukrainian forces and its people to maintain their resolve. It serves as a public guarantee of continued material support.
2. **To Russia (The Adversary):** This is a form of psychological warfare. The language used—describing Russia as a “paper tiger” and highlighting its “BIG Economic trouble”—is deliberately designed to undermine confidence within the Russian government and military. It aims to create the perception that time is not on their side and that their war effort is doomed to fail, potentially exacerbating internal political divisions.
3. **To NATO and other Partners (The Alliance):** The statement acts as a leadership call-to-action. It sets a clear and ambitious policy goal: the complete restoration of Ukraine’s original borders. This pressures other allies to align their efforts and resources toward achieving this decisive outcome, rather than settling for a frozen conflict or a negotiated stalemate. The specific phrasing, *”We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them,”* is significant. It affirms the supply commitment while reinforcing the operational leadership of the alliance in executing the strategy.
4. **To a Domestic Audience (The Public):** The statement serves to justify the significant financial and military expenditure involved in supporting Ukraine. By painting a picture of a weakened adversary and a valiant ally on the cusp of victory, it frames the support not as an endless drain on resources, but as a strategic investment in a just cause that is yielding results.
### Strategic Implications and Realities
While the presidential rhetoric is optimistic and designed to inspire confidence, it operates in the context of the same military realities discussed before:
* **Political Will vs. Military Fact:** The statement is a declaration of **political will**. It is a leader saying, “This is the outcome we are determined to achieve.” However, this will must still contend with the military facts on the ground—Russia’s defensive fortifications, its large reserves of manpower, and the immense difficulty of large-scale offensive operations.
* **Creating a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy:** The ultimate goal of such a statement is to help create the conditions for its own success. By guaranteeing support, it encourages Ukraine to plan for longer-term, more ambitious operations. By projecting Russian weakness, it may deter wavering Russian troops or officials. By unifying allies, it ensures the resource pipeline remains open.
* **Setting a High Political Bar:** Declaring a total victory as the goal is also a politically risky move. It creates a high expectation for success. Anything less than the full liberation of Ukrainian territory could be perceived as a failure, creating future political challenges.
In summary, when this analysis comes from a president, it transcends mere opinion and becomes a deliberate act of statecraft. It is using the power of public declaration to define the goals of the conflict, motivate allies, demoralize the enemy, and solidify domestic and international support for a long-term, high-stakes strategy.
We’re not going to be “out” until the us is “out” of NATO.
My post was accurate, your isn’t except for the part that agreed with mine, you just don’t see how much we support Ukraine apart from the weapon sales, and no one is paying us for the training we give the Ukrainian armed forces, or for all of our connected military exercises and troop movements in the region, and for our basic military posturing and buildup that is focused on Russia.
We don’t have the capability to produce arms at the rate we have been giving them away.
“96 HIMARS
The USA plans to produce approximately 96 HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) units per year. This production capacity is expected to be achieved by the end of 2024, with a request for information indicating a target of 96 units through fiscal 2028.”
-Newsweek
Meanwhile, the Ukrainians are have pushed the Russians almost completely out of Sumy and the northern pincer attempting to surround Pokrovsk has been significantly reduced. And the rains have started, so the rasputitsa will set in soon.
Putin's summer offensive has gained almost of nothing at a cost of tens of thousands of casualties.
By next February, the war will have lasted longer than the "Great Patriotic War."
My take on Trump is that he is forcing Putin to come to the table to negotiate a settlement.
Trump’s administration and the military is pumping billions into keeping those weapons flowing.

“HIMARS production capacity increased from 48 to 96 launchers annually last fall, ahead of schedule and in line with customer demand. Backed by $2.8 billion in U.S. Army contracts, we’ve expanded tooling and streamlined supply chains to meet growing global demand for long-range precision capabilities.”

“Precision Strike Missile (PrSM): Increasing to 400 Missile Capacity”
“Javelin: Scaling Up to 3,960 Units Per Year-—With a current production capacity of 2,400 Javelin missiles per year, the program is set to ramp up to 3,960 per year by late 2026.”
“PAC-3 MSE: Record-Setting Output-—In 2025, Lockheed Martin is on track to produce more than 600 PAC-3 MSEs for the first time. Our current production ramp-up target is 650 PAC-3 MSEs by 2027. The program is tracking ahead of its stated capacity goals for the next several years and the company is exploring additional investments and working with our customer to increase production capacity to accelerate PAC-3 MSE delivery “

“”””With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO,”””
Trump is not saying Europe finances Ukraine alone. He also includes NATO and NATO also includes USA.
That's what last month's "visit to Daddy" was all about. Look at who was sitting together, across the desk from President Trump. A united message: "Do it for us, and we'll hold your coat."
Ukraine can only lose more territory and lives by continuing the war.
And the extra sales mean at least a partial subsidy for increasing the size of the US military industrial base.
We also gain training in a far more realistic environment and valuable feedback about the performance of our weapons in actual use.
The Europeans could seek to make a deal with China to protect them from Russia. Allowing all of Eurasia to fall into one, huge, anti-American power would be the height of folly. But for that reason, I wouldn't put past the ability of our stupid political class.
