uns a commune in Texas with ‘no men and no drama’ (Picture: Robyn Yerian / SWNS)
Twelve small homes sit upon acres of manicured lawn in the Texas countryside.
Under the warm sun, the residents that call this gated community home live a rather idyllic life: there’s a fit pit, yoga, book club and a swimming pool.
It’s peaceful and supportive. And for those that want to live here there are two simple rules: no men, and no drama.
The Bird’s Nest is a five-acre women-only commune, and the brainchild of 70-year-old Robyn Yerian.

No men, no drama but a lot of lesbians.
Wait until the lawn mower breaks down.
The power of one! The power of two! The power of many!
“No Drama”
Uh-huh. Pull the other one, it plays Yankee Doodle
Hahaha.the Hoppes #9 would be the last straw for them!
Yea, RIGHT!
Three women = drama.
Of the four women who were directly ranking to me only one was good, and she was from the 1970s and we knew each other from being stationed together back then. The other three were some of the worst human beings I have ever met or worked around.
My wife, with over 30 years working either Active Duty or as a DoD employee, only had one female boss that was a good person and a very good leader. My wife has always said she would rather work for a male than a female.

They are way past menopause
Crowd four men into a hut and they’ll make it work. Put two women in opposite ends of a palace and they’ll find reasons to hate each other.
Misogynist: Someone who hates women as much as they hate each other.
My sense from the article is that these women won’t have to leave to get those needs met.
They flooded in to several combat areas of the Air Force starting in the late 70s. There were a handful who actually wanted to be there and be a part of the operation like always but most of them, once in, wanted to stop the men from being men, and they even started making up "problems" just to keep everybody on edge. It was about power and they knew they could accuse men to further their careers without having to do their best at their duty.
Why do women outlive men? Because men want it that way.
It’s like women have multiple personalities and none of them are aware of the others. It’s why she so into clothes; she’s dressing a crowd.
This place is located in Cumby, TX - just off I-30 in the ex-burbs of Dallas.
I don’t buy the “no drama” bit for a second but, hey ladies, more power to ya and don’t look over the fence at the next door trailer park or the whole concept could come crashing down.
Speaking of which, don’t call my number if you get hit by a tornado. I can only imagine the crying for a man if that ever happens.
