Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk who was assassinated earlier this month, told a crowd of thousands during a packed memorial in Glendale, Arizona, for her late husband that she has forgiven his shooter.
I forgive him," Kirk said through tears, adding after cheers rang out from the crowd, "I forgive him because it was what Christ did, and it is what Charlie would do."
While talking about her late husband, she said part of his mission was to "save young men just like the one who took his life."

You forgive him.
That’s nice.
I don’t.
💔 🤍 ❤️🩹
She was very powerful.
She’s a better person than me.
Robinson/left will probably laugh off and mock her genuine forgiveness.
They are not like us - and never will be . . .
She’s a much better woman than I am.
Such incredible strength and devotion to her God.
Truly a remarkable woman.
She must forgive, it’s in her faith - it’s a requirement.
Now, let the authorities investigate, try, sentence and imprison the man (and any co-conspirators) as he waits for the firing squad.
I’ve already seen tweets that say you forgive him but he’s going to get the death penalty.
Obviously bad logic but that’s what some of these idiots are saying....and even worse.
I’ll forgive him when he repents his evil deed and is made to face the temporal consequences of it.
You married an amazing woman, Charlie.
Yes she was. I have high hopes for TPUSA. That she can influence young women the way Charlie did young men.
She’s doing as Jesus commanded us and as Charlie would have. She not just a better person than I am, she is blessed by God.
There were many powerful moments throughout the day, but that was the most powerful, IMO.
Forgiveness doesn’t mean the criminal gets away with the crime and avoids consequences.
It just means the criminal doesn’t live rent free in one’s head.
Peach
She should do whatever she has to do to get thru this. If forgiving him helps her, I totally support her.
I don’t need to forgive him, so I won’t. May the prosecutor’s jury consultants do a bang-up job, and may his speedy punishment be a deterrent to those who condone his actions and might want to copycat.
unreal.... Instead of having some spine, you give the left something to mock you over. I am losing sooooooooo much faith in the Right.
I’f one of my loved ones were killed this way for politics, I would go scorched earth politically to end those fkrs...
Virtue signaling at it finest...
That is going to eat your insides to the point where you will burn. Forgiveness is not for the person who has done you wrong… it’s for your own heart and it’s very difficult. It takes a long time for some people, others not so much. Get some Jesus in you
Jesus does. We should.
Doesn't mean he shouldn't face consequences. It means that Christ on the cross took the full punishment for his, your, and my wrongdoings - the Innocent taking the full measure of punishment for the guilty - and so righteously forgiving the guilty because of the Innocent's perfect sacrifice of paying the full price for the guilty.
