The New Yorker magazine used to be a showcase for great writers. That was many years ago. More recently it has become a cesspool of mediocre writers striving with great urgency to promote their leftist agendas. And the latest such example of a New Yorker writer crawling deep into the sewer came on Wednesday with this smear masquerading as a story by Kyle Chayka, "Charlie Kirk and Tyler Robinson Came from the Same Warped Online Worlds."
To say that Chayka sickeningly attempted to put Charlie Kirk and his assassin on the same moral plane, as inferred by the story title, is to give him too much credit. As you will see, Chayka not very subtly promotes the depraved notion that Kirk was morally worse than the assassin.

The person who wrote this is jealous of Kimmel getting there first with a hate MAGA stab - and wants in on the hate action. How ‘liberal’... and tacky and creepy.

True but when other people READ your reply, word can get around that I was the author of the New Yorker smear story. And guess what position that puts me in? So I needed to EMPHASIZE it wasn't me.
We conservatives cannot EVER forget the monstrously evil behavior we have witnessed from the Democrats/leftists since Charlie Kirk’s murder: the mass celebrations online and in person, the encouragement of more political violence, their blaming the victim and his supporters, the outrageous misinformation they’ve spread, most of them lacking any human sympathy for those with different viewpoints, and their widespread dehumanizing defamation of the victim in order to justify their side murdering him.
This is possibly the greatest show of evil in a concentrated time period I’ve ever seen in this country in my lifetime. We must use this as a motivator. We have to stop these monsters who want us dead for mainstream conservative viewpoints and their “mainstream” allies who will not condemn them or try to stop them. The Dem running for NJ gov just horribly slandered Charlie—we have to triple-down on making sure she gets nowhere near the governorship, no matter how challenging NJ is.
In a darkly charming way (the kind of “Charm” that a snake has looking into the eyes of a bird), the conflation of the perpetrator and the target as being “of the same origin”, is an determined attempt to rationalize away the very real existence of tangible evil in the world.
Good can exist in the absence of evil, but the existence of evil is wholly dependent on the presence of good.

I’ve lived through multiple political assassinations and assassination attempts, the 1960s and 1970s cultural upheavals, but have never seen such pure, unadulterated, raw evil as we are witnessing today.

Kyle Chayka did an excellent job ... of ignoring how absolutely different the two men were.
Charlie Kirk: Put himself in front of the public, literally risking his life to engage in public debate of ideas hundreds of times, in the belief that he could change peoples’ minds for the better. World view grounded in religious faith and Christian values. Married with a wife and children he obviously loved; concerned about the future US and world his children would grow up in. Made himself into a nationally known political leader who made an impact on culture and Presidential elections. Bold, courageous leader with a bright future.
Tyler Robinson: No public or political engagement. Hid in gamer and perversion chat rooms. Apparently rejected his family’s religious values in favor of nihilism. Lived with gay lover; supportive of his “transition” into a sterile pseudo-woman. Into the psychotic “furry” perversion. No children, no stake in the future. No accomplishments. Chose murdering from a distance those he disagreed with instead of arguing his case man-to-man. Cowardly worm and loser.
