Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night show was suspended by ABC on Wednesday following a brief pressure campaign from the Trump administration as well as conservatives in the media, who successfully twisted Kimmel’s words following last week’s assassination of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
During Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday, the comedian criticized conservatives for trying to “score political points” off Kirk’s death.
“We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said during his monologue on Monday.
Kimmel’s slightly ambiguous comments came after conservatives spent the weekend blaming the left and transgender people for Kirk’s killing. At the time, the public knew little about the alleged shooter’s motives. Prosecutors disclosed on Tuesday that the suspect, Tyler Robinson, told his trans roommate and apparent romantic partner, “I had enough of his hatred.”

Exactly!
If this is true it’s great news. Who’s next?/s
Maybe so, but I doubt it. I am more inclined to believe he and his wife have a bad case of TDS.
Awwwwww...poor babies. The butthurt is strong with these nitwits as their own tactics and policies are applied to them. Their spiritual guru and mentor Saul Alynsky wrote the rules. We’ve read the book and have joined the game!
RS.. We’re NOT dead yet!
RS.. Look at us! We’re relevant!
RS.. Pay attention to us!
RS needs to tell the whole story. ABC wanted to replace Kimmel or shut down his time slot completely. His ratings were in the toilet and the time slot had potential of making good money. This whole issue came to a head with Kirk’s death; dumb statements breaking protocol and sorry ratings made ABC close the door on Kimmel.
I just wish that ABC/Disney had pulled that little weasel George Snuffalupagus off the air. He cost them the $16MM.
I find it hard to believe they left him on GMA and other on air spots.
Jann Wenner, the Managing Director of Rolling Stone put ABBA into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. That act alone shredded his credibility and his rags’ credibility for all eternity.
No “twisting “ necessary, he flat out lied on a “comedy “ show.
If the left should be mad they should be mad at their own who fired him, Trump didn’t
Kimmel blamed MAGA with no proof, a lie that violates Disney’s broadcast license.
Game over.
Andrew Perez, Asawin Suebsaeng,
Head up butt much. Kimmel is the victim? But no sympathy for Charlie Kirk.
Those late-night shows have served as important promotional outlets for movies, television and actual comedians for generations. They used to have authors as guests back when people read books.
Now those fields will have to readjust just like the movie industry did when television gained dominance. Adapt or perish is the ultimate law in a capital-driven society.
I just dread having more advertising using up my ever-diminishing lifetime.
Little george was high up in Clinton’s admin.....that might very well be why he has survived so long......that and his show is SUPPOSED to be political.....kimmel’s was supposed to be funny and hadn’t been in a long time....if ever.
Kimmel and Adam Carolla have completely opposing views on politics.....after working together for quite a while, Kimmel gets the cushy network job and Conservative Adam Carolla is left to fend for himself, now doing a podcast.

What a shocker right?
Bob Dylan should sue them for $6 Billion ,for stealing his song title .
Kimmel LIED.
HES A LIAR !!!
That is a gigantic lie.
I know, right? Who, exactly, are they trying to re-set the scene for? Future historians? The seven people that haven't heard about this story?
Conservatives have long been privy to leftist narrative lies, but now that the blinders have come off a lot more people, their feeble attempts are just pathetic.
I’d say Jimmy did a pretty good job of taking himself down. 😆
Twisted his words . . . he spoke his words on screen. They were heard by everyone who watched him. Admittedly that was a tiny group but his words were repeated without elisions. I suppose not refining them to inoccuousness constitutes “twisting” for the Rolling Stone.
Where's the ambiguity?
It must be very slight indeed.
So slight as to be invisible.
