One of the key conditions that King’s College professor David Betz says leads to civil war: an elite radically disconnected from the masses.
Civil war is coming,” David Betz told a Budapest audience on Thursday night. And later: “Sorry, but I don’t think there is a peaceful solution at this time.”
Betz should know. The professor is head of the war studies department at King’s College London and is an academic expert in civil war. For years he has been writing that all the conditions for civil war to break out have been met in most Western countries; all that is needed is a spark.
Betz’s message has gained far more attention this year, thanks to podcast interviews like this one with Harrison Pitt of europeanconservative.com. What makes his warnings especially chilling is that he delivers them calmly, driven by data and logical analysis. He is the furthest thing from a wild-eyed apocalypticist shouting on a street corner.
By “civil war,” Betz does not mean two uniformed armies clashing. He’s talking instead about violent chaos, like Northern Ireland during the Troubles, Italy’s ‘Years of Lead,’ or the cataclysm that engulfed Yugoslavia as it broke up. He warned Budapesters that anyone who relishes the coming of civil war to get things sorted has no idea what they’re talking about. He predicted that millions will die in Europe, and millions more will be forcibly displaced, including through deportation.
Betz has been speaking mostly about civil war prospects in Great Britain and continental Europe, but his analysis also covers the United States. Civil war in America came a lot closer this week with the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

EU neo-marxists and Davos globalists will not give up easily. There’s too much at stake.
It could be a generation-long conflict which grinds Europe into dust.
We just got back from three weeks in Ireland, Scotland, England, and Wales. We were in big cities (Dublin, Cork, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff, and London) and many small villages and towns. It’s really weird — everything felt perfectly normal!
Except, of course, for all the moslems everywhere we went.
I saw some motorcyclists resting at a restaurant in Scotland and one of them had the British flag conspicuously hanging on his bike. I gave him a big thumbs up and they all appreciated that. We saw set up going on near Parliament in London for a protest against anti-semitism. Those were the only two mildly political things we observed. But, less than a week after we left from Heathrow, a couple hundred thousand people came to London to fight for their traditional way of lfe.
We are in the middle of a civil war right now.
Europe is at the doorstep.
The “Islamists” will force it. Muslims will become one. Islam = Sharia = global domination. Murder and chaos ensues. Migration from everywhere goes on overdrive, exacerbating the war. The goal is Sharia.
It’s hard to see it not happening. The reason free speech is already gone in UK/EU is because the authorities must try to FORCE peace. They’re one offensive remark away from the SHTF. It’s a losing policy. Once it fails, the dominos will fall.
The problem with a diverse nation of 350 million diverse people is that a “civil war” would have about 40 different sides — and many of those people would be on multiple sides, depending on the issue of the day.
A civil war would be horrible. I can’t imagine heavily armed groups with zero rules of engagement wandering around and having at it.
For Europe war will come sooner or later. They either fight to remove the invaders now or the invaders will fight to conquer it all. Lebanon use to be a Christian nation.
.
It will be similar to the fascists and communists in WW2. At first the left and the islamists will be united but it will not last as they both want total control and will soon turn on each other.
Don’t count fascism down and out. It could reform and comeback. Fascism, all encompassing Nationalism (Tribalism) under a charismatic leader could rise up embracing the ideals of a nation united. Think of Fascism like a “Poison Pill”—a powerful medicine that can cure a sick and dying nation, reverse the downward spiral—but one that has really bad side effects. If you get a mad leader it can wreck your nation—Hitler showed his. But he was only one Fascist leader. Benito Mussolini was better, maybe Franco was best for Spain, and Evita Peron for Argentina. In a dictator ship as long as you don’t act or speak out against the leader, your OK to live your life. But, in fascism you can’t just watch the parade—you must march in it! You must be a part of the system. They can do great things because of their unity—but they can also do great evil.
