The rifle used to kill Charlie Kirk has allegedly been recovered, authorities announced Thursday, and chilling messages allegedly inscribed on some of its ammunition are giving investigators a clue about what may have motivated the shooter.
Internal communications by the U.S. Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms appear to reveal notes taken by officials who immediately responded to the killing of Kirk, 31, on the campus of Utah Valley University near Salt Lake City. Within hours, they reported discovering the long-barreled hunting rifle, which was fired “from an elevated position on a rooftop in an adjacent building on the campus.”
At a press conference on the campus, FBI Special Agent in Charge Robert Bohls stated that security footage showed the suspect climbing to the roof of the building, firing a single shot, and jumping down before fleeing on foot into a nearby neighborhood.
Internal ATF notes, first reported by Steven Crowder and later confirmed by the Wall Street Journal, allegedly state “ATF and other law enforcement located an older model imported Mauser 30-06 caliber bolt action rifle wrapped in a towel in a wooded area near the campus. The location of the firearm appears to match the suspect’s route of travel.
Chillingly, the shooter left spent cartridges carrying ideologies opposed to those expressed by Kirk.
“The spent cartridge was still chambered in addition to three unspent rounds in the top fed magazine. All cartridges have engraved wording on them expressing transgender and anti-fascist ideology,” the report states, according to Crowder and now the Wall Street Journal.
An emergency trace of the weapon’s history has been submitted, and the FBI is testing it and the cartridges for DNA evidence, authorities wrote.
“Multiple people of interest have been contacted or detained because of eyewitness testimony and review of video footage. The primary suspect is yet to be identified,” the report admits.
Surrounded by thousands of curious onlookers on Wednesday, Kirk had just fielded a question from the audience about the danger posed by transgender mass shooters like Robin Westman, the 23-year-old who last month opened fire on a Catholic Church in Minnesota. The attack came two years after another transgender shooter opened fire on a Christian school they formerly attended.
Kirk was just several seconds into his answer when he was struck in the neck by the rifle round. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, President Donald Trump first announced.
“No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us,” he wrote on Truth Social.
Authorities described the firearm used to kill Kirk as a “high-powered bolt-action rifle.”
“Investigators have also collected footwear, the impression of a palm print and forearm imprints for analysis,” Bohls said.
From where he was positioned, some authorities believe the individual may have been able to escape miles away by the time officers were able to surround him.
“We are not sure how far he has gone,” the FBI agent admitted.
... and how did he “blend in” with the crowd carrying a rifle that he later disposed in a nearby park?
Yes. “Bombshell” on a news story etc. is often like “Foxy Lady” and “Sexy As Hell” tee shirts. Usually not accurate.
changing bombshell would be a game changer.
OK, the first time this happened I didn’t think anything of it.
But now that this is the third time (that I am aware of of), I’m thinking that the tranny symbolism on weapon and/or ammo is just a little ‘too convenient’. A bit of misdirection
Way skeptical here.
Let's get a ballistics test that traces the shot fired back to that rifle they found. That would settle a lot of possibilities.
There was no rifle or ammunition left on the roof, so the shooter cleaned up and packed out right away. Is there a reasonable explanation why they would ditch the rifle in the woods on their way to their exit ride?
Then let's see security camera recordings of somebody hauling that rifle (or a rifle-sized package) down from the roof. It is not the sort of thing that would go completely unnoticed. Somebody always notices.
Maybe there is even security footage of somebody hauling a rifle-sized package up to the roof before the assassination. Maybe days before the assassination. Was the roof access locked?
There are too many questions that have not yet been publicly answered. I get it. It is early and a number of reported "facts" will turn out to be wrong.
Very frustrating to not settle on some firm conclusions. We have a number of strong theories still competing for our attention plus chaff and distractions that need to be discarded.
So far 0-2 with suspects. So...........
Seems trannys are unstable people.
It is still early.
The police are still working through their list of "the usual suspects" and their informants. That could easily be over 400 people by now, and the list will grow. The positive view is that the Federal and State authorities are unlikely to let go of this case or provide a cover-up.
They will get somebody for this. It might even be the right somebody - or somebodies. That is the way I am betting this time.
It's not like the TV shows where it all gets wrapped up in 45 minutes (plus commercials) by a wise-cracking detective and her attractive sidekick/partner.
I agree, as the reports of video of the killer don’t mention he fled with the rifle, which would be a detail that would probably be mentioned. But time will tell - but if the video doesn’t show the rifle .....

Probably so as to not make an unsuspecting Uber driver suspicious?
Or, because the shooter just wanted the police to have this rifle and make the obvious assumption.
1) Clean up the shooting site, to delay investigators finding evidence.
2) Start ditching evidence as soon as abandoning the scene. Ditch the rifle. Change clothes. Get in a car ASAP and beat feet. Put as much distance as possible between the conspirators and the scene of the crime, as quickly as possible.
Or maybe it's all BS and false clues, and the "information" they're "releasing" is garbage. Sort of like when those two dirtballs were shooting people at random in NoVa and Maryland. We were lied to pretty badly in that incident.

Transsexuals have been involved in 8 recent massed school shootings.
Truck these fans.
The two photos of the suspect that were released show no rifle. They were taken either before, or after the shooting.
If before, then how did the rifle get on the roof? If after, then how did the rifle walk itself to the woods?
“Skepticism is warranted here.”
Yes, misdirection. Who would take the time to engrave that crap on rounds.
your last sentence is what keeps haunting my mind
That would be a good plan. It is what a professional assassin would do. But a ditched rifle is certain to be found. Might as well just leave it at the scene and get away a bit faster. It is also less conspicuous to exit a scene empty-handed rather than carrying a large package. Let's just see what the security footage shows of the alleged shooter as he left the building. Assuming there is such footage, of course.
If it were necessary for the weapon to never be found, a professional would carry it away to a secure location, disassemble it and scatter or destroy the pieces. That is not what happened here.
That is why I am guessing this shooter was a skilled, trained, amateur. The engravings on the cartridges and magazine says either "zealot" or "false flag distraction". I am uncertain on which is more likely.
I consider a very weak possibility that the FBI would cover up this crime in any way under the Trump administration. It is not impossible, as the FBI has not been thoroughly purged of Bidenists and Obamunists. But it is way down on my list of concerns.
I currently believe that as well, and that he has several confederates/conspirators/accomplices ... including shills in the crowd. The current situation reminds me of the "beltway sniper" incident back in 2002. The murderers were clever, ideologically motivated amateurs who almost got away with it. The authorities were more than a bit dishonest.
