MSNBC has sparked outrage for its 'disgusting' and 'shameful' on-air comments while covering the fatal shooting of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk at a college event in Utah.
Kirk, who amassed a huge following for his fiery debates on university campuses, was assassinated in broad daylight mid-speech on Wednesday afternoon.
Reporting on the situation in real time, host Katy Tur called Kirk 'divisive' and 'polarizing' while political analyst Matthew Dowd suggested that the gunshot could have been fired by one of Kirk's supporters.
'[W]e don't know any of the full details of this yet,' Dowd said.
'We don't know if this is a supporter shooting their gun off in celebration or... So we have no idea about this.'
He also echoed Tur, calling Kirk 'one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures... who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups.'
'And I always go back to hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions.'
Critics were quick to bash both journalists, as footage circulating online appeared to show Kirk shot fatally struck in the neck at Utah Valley University in Orem.

I watched a bit of it to see how vile they were and they did not disappoint. Much of their discussion blamed it on Trump for gutting the FBI and removing the agents who could have been doing domestic terrorism work. And diverting so many agents away to chase after brown people who they thought were illegals.
There is a reason nobody watches them.
You know I’m so shocked and angry right now I can’t think strait but you are correct. Yes use their laws against them.
They should both be fired... They don’t deserve to work in the field of public information.
MSDNC needs to have their signal scrambled permanently. Let them sue.
I think something will change because of this. Usually, I think not. The world just absorbs the bad, drops a tear and moves on. But not this time. It’s a year from when Trump was almost killed the same way. He’s going to go to sleep tonight remembering his roof top and Kirk’s roof top. And something will change soon.

I hope that Trump bans any MSNBC reporters from all federal property until January 20, 2029. That despicable network needs to be driven out of business. Charlie Kirk wrote on X on April 7 about the leftist culture of violence, and he assigned a great deal of the blame for it to the news media. MSNBC is a prime offender, to the point that they were busy offending while the poor guy was in the midst of dying. Everyone who has a cable subscription needs to call their cable company and make sure that they register their displeasure with MSNBC being part of the lineup that is offered. They need to threaten to cancel, and follow through if necessary, if the local cable companies refuse to get rid of MSNBC. On top of that, any advertisers for MSNBC need to be boycotted. Drive these scumbags out of business.
I don’t mind if they have a different opinion, that is their right. But they do not have a right to purposely mislead the public whom they supposedly serve.
