Tucker Carlson is berated over disturbing claim about Hamas: 'He's turning into Ilhan Omar'
Daily Mail ^ | 9/7/2025 | LAURA PARNABY

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson has faced a fierce backlash for claiming that Hamas is 'more like a political organization' than a terror group.

The 56-year-old commentator made the comment while speaking with Shahed Ghoreishi in the latest episode of The Tucker Carlson show clipped by Mediate.

Speaking about Hamas, Carlson said 'They're Islamist extremists... I don't know if that's true, by the way. Seems more like a political organization.'

(I’m sure Tucker was cheering on Oct 7 as hard as the Palis were on 9/11.)

Don’t forget about the Israelis in New York on 9-11 seen dancing in celebration.

Was he wearing a Hamas tablecloth around his neck?

I never watched Tucker regularly, but I caught his segment on Fox occasionally back when he was on there and he seemed to make a lot of sense in those days.

Since Fox canned him, he seems to be slipping deeper and deeper into Clown World. The antisemitism just doesn’t do it for me. I wonder where the heck that came from? Or maybe he was always that way and it’s recently coming out.

Tucker Carlson is following the same strange path Candace Owens went down.

Laura Parnaby changed what Carlson said, then attacked him based on her own revised version. He does not say that Hamas is not a terrorist group. Instead he casts doubt that Hamas is genuinely Islamic and fundamentalist, implying that Hamas is a secular group that uses Islam as a front for its political agenda. Carlson can be a doofus, but the author is dishonest.

I almost feel sorry for the guy. To have built such a reputation for intelligence and wit, then to squander it for a temporary income boost. He should have been building up a financial portfolio while he was making big bucks at Fox News. Then he might not have needed to prostitute himself. I stopped liking him when he said the election of 2020 was completely legitimate.

Carlson’s wife is an heir to the Swanson fortune and Tucker himself is worth $30 million from his own endeavors so he certainly doesn’t need any additional money.

That is because the Italian Mafia has/had rules.
The first rule was that women and kids were off limits.
That was because it was bad for business.

Yawn, Tucker’s “radical shout” of the week. His main need is attention not policy. He has to work harder at making a splash as an independent.

False claims made by Muslim media and parroted by the paleo-right antisemites.

Where is the original video?

Hamas is the freely elected government of the Palestinian people of the GAZA strip. They are a political organization that reflects the will of the people of GAZA.

Clearly, Hamas is a Political and Terrorist organization, that represents the free will of the people of GAZA who elected them.

Nothing regarding this war is clear.

Hamas won a plurality election….in 2006.

Through no fault of the non-combatant Gazans, there has not been an election there for 19 years. They are at the mercy of the U.S., Israel, and the usual power-plays and nonsense that result in keeping people (the ones who aren't terrorists) politically, economically, and militarily contained.

https://www.snopes.com/news/2023/11/01/majority-palestinians-gaza-elect-hamas/ (November 2023)

People Claim a Majority of Palestinians in Gaza Elected Hamas — Here's Why It Isn't That Simple

As violence intensifies in Gaza and Israel, claims about Hamas' place in Gaza's electoral history are circulating without important context. (November 2023)

As the Israel-Gaza crisis intensified in October 2023, various claims about the conflict circulated devoid of important historical context. One such claim argued the majority of Palestinians in Gaza elected Hamas, a Sunni Islamist political party and military organization that's considered a terrorist group by the U.S. and European Union (EU) — implying that most of today's population support the militant group’s actions toward Israel.

further..

Those posts omitted important context. It was true that Hamas won the latest election among Palestinians in Gaza — it happened in 2006 — though that victory was not by a majority of votes. The militant group did, however, win the majority of seats in the legislature. Furthermore, it was misleading to conflate that electoral outcome with the views of people in the region today.

When considering Hamas' win in 2006, this fact is crucial: Almost half of Palestinians in Gaza in 2023 could not vote in the 2006 elections because of their youth (the voting age is 18). Per previous reporting by Snopes, which relied on demographic data compiled by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, children and teens under the age of 18 were estimated to represent about 47% of the Gaza Strip's population, as of mid-2023.

Furthermore, today’s population in Gaza also includes adults who were not old enough to vote in 2006. In 2006, around 840,000 citizens were under the age of 18 out of a population of 1.4 million, according to UNICEF.

So the "children and teens under..18" - are just under 50% of the population. That's the demographic currently being decimated in large numbers. Which from the looks of a lot of the pro-Israel threads and posts on FR - is good news.

Of course allegations of ‘human shields’ always comes up. I still can’t figure out why or how a country that destroys buildings which it knows contain women and children being used as human shields, has any moral higher ground than the beasts who use and created the human shields.
