Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Bill Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, got into an explosive argument last week — with threats of physical violence involved, The Post has confirmed.
Two sources say that Bessent, 63, threatened to beat up Pulte, 37, for allegedly trash-talking him to President. At one point, the Treasury chief lashed out at Pulte, saying: “Why the f— are you talking to the president about me? F— you.”
“I’m gonna punch you in your f—ing face,” added Bessent.rump, two sources said.
The shouting match was first reported by Politico and broke out at the Executive Branch social club in DC’s Georgetown neighborhood.
The club was co-founded by banker Omeed Malik and first son Donald Trump Jr.

Bessent and Musk got into it over personnel. Musk Lost. Now it is Pulte’s turn
pay close attention to this:

Btw, the Government has archaic ways of dealing with getting rid of staff.
Bessent did not fire the Deputy Secretary as ordered. He was put on administrative leave. Not fired until Loomer pointed out what was going on.
It is possible that Bessent was transitioning him out due to some govt. rule

Exactly — this is the swamp in action. Trump orders a guy FIRED, and some snake bureaucrat tries to play games by parking him on “administrative leave” like it’s a timeout chair. That’s insubordination, plain and simple. The second your tweet blew it up, Trump caught wind, and boom — Faulkender’s gone. That’s how fast the hammer drops when sunlight hits the roaches. And if his daughter’s still nesting in Cabinet Affairs? She better be spotless, because the sins of daddy are about to get dragged out for the world to see. Treasury’s supposed to guard America’s money, not run side hustles in the shadows. This is just the beginning of what’s gonna spill.”
If Bessent could spot Musk 9 years and still blacken his eye, good for him.
1: Bessent can’t fire Powell, Powell doesn’t work for Bessent. Therefore Powell can’t refuse to fire Powell. He simply advised Trump it would be bad for markets to fire powell
2: The Pulte NY Post story has nothing to do with Bessent refusing to fire someone or Loomer.
3: Faulkender resigned.
The #2 guy at Treasury abruptly “quits” five months after confirmation and you believe he wasn’t pushed out by Trump

He was obviously pushed out, but he resigned, he was not fired. Words have meaning.
I think Bessent is doing a great job. A lot of people can’t stand Pulte.
