What are possible causes for FR to have been down today?

Free Republic is working good now. But yesterday and this morning I got a 'page not found' or something. Anyone know a specific reason for this?
Also I use to have an alternate spot to go to when FR wasn't working, but I forget which it was. Maybe facebook or Yahoo groups. What is a good current one that let's us converse about possible problems? I have 'Site outages' listed that are useful but prefer alternate blogs.

Microsoft Copilot referred me to a site called Down for Everyone or Just Me. I didn’t check it because Copilot answered the question.

Bad Vlad Putin was angry at his water boy Qatarlson getting disrespected here for 24 hours. So Vlad had his Bulgarian hacker squad institute a mass denial of service for FR.
This will be repeated if/when Tuck cannot get traction.

I don’t accept that. Who takes a little site like this down for 24+ hours for maintenance? Normally you have mirroring and failover built into your architecture.
