Tucker Carlson Expresses Doubts That Hamas Is a ‘Radical Jihadi Organization’

Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is being widely criticized on social media for claiming he has doubts that Iran-backed Hamas was anything more than a “political organization.”

Israel has stepped up its campaign to wipe out Hamas from Gaza ever since Oct. 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked an Israeli music festival, killing at least 1,200 and taking some 250 hostages.

Recently, Israel struck Gaza’s only Catholic church, killing three people. The Israelis said they were investigating the incident, however, Carlson claimed the Israeli Defense Forces were exhibiting “self-destructive behavior” by shelling churches, whether intentionally or not.

In his latest podcast, Carlson said:

No one can possibly claim that a Christian family are in Hamas. OK, so what, tell me — You can’t claim they’re in Hamas while simultaneously claiming that Hamas is a group of jihadis. They’re Islamist extremists, which they also claim. Constantly. I don’t know if that’s true, by the way. Seems more like a political organization. But whatever it is, they’re telling us constantly that they’re Al-Qaeda. So, it can’t also be true that Christians are a member of Al-Qaeda. So, then, we know they’re not in Hamas, so why did they get killed?

Once a conservative darling, Carlson has been viewed with increasing suspicion since his termination from Fox News. He now runs his own podcast, The Tucker Carlson Show.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) expressed his frustrations with Carlson, posting to X, “Now, @TuckerCarlson doesn’t know if Hamas is a terrorist organization. (‘Elmo is just asking questions….’) What the hell happened to Tucker?? He’s turning into Ilhan Omar.”

Mark Levin, who once worked with Carlson at Fox News and isn’t a fan, took to calling his nemesis, “Qatarlson.”

“Qatarlson doesn’t know if Hamas is a terrorist group,” Levin posted.

Seth Dillon with the satirical Babylon Bee got serious when he posted, “Qatar, Iran, and Tucker Carlson say Hamas is just a political group — not a radical Islamist terrorist organization.”

Dillon’s post included the “Ideology and Goals” of Hamas that included “jihad as its path” and “‘Death for the sake of Allah’ as its highest aspiration.”

“”Carlson has been delightfully uninhibited in his embrace of all that is anti-American. I thought he’d peaked last year when he platformed a Nazi apologist, but like the Energizer bunny he keeps going and going and going. Pretty soon he’ll be saying that Hamas is a civic improvement society.””

Carlson was like a woke, giggly, adoring Valley Girl in Massie’s propaganda video against the GOP. Carlson took great delight in the Trump mocking that Massie endulged in. And no doubt, Carlson will just excuse it as being “nice” to his interviewee. But let’s face it. What Carlson and Massie have become is very clear. Crystal clear, in fact. For anyone that isn’t refusing to see.

Asinine and contrary to everything he’s ever done or said. He’s nothing of the sort.

The “reports” about Tucker are increasingly concerning. I no longer watch him so I haven’t a clue if this is all true.

You’d think people here would know better.

He’s using his platform to ask certain questions that major media wouldn’t. There’s nothing wrong with that, in fact I applaud it. It’s easy to take snippets and put them out of context.

IMHO - there’s a clear campaign to smear him, even by those on the right. I think money has a lot to do with it. The last thing we need is to become our own enemy.

“”We really need to be more careful in accepting talking heads who say the words we want to hear.””

Exactly. Just because they spout a few things we agree with... does not mean that they are on our side politically, or in any other manner.

“”What does “conservative” even mean anymore?””

Above all, less government. Less regulations, less restrictions, less government control over our short hairs. Will that ever actually be achieved? Probably not... because too many (like yourself) don’t know what Conservatism actually is and don’t want to know... and too many others don’t want what it means for America ...ie tightening the fiscal belt.

A balanced national budget was achieved once and only once. You don’t even have to ask why that was never done again. It’s has to do with cutting funding to pet projects and most in Congress (and their constituents) are too greedy and addicted to that federal taxpayer $$$ pouring in to their states. Gotta keep the cash flowing “in”.

So, then, we know they’re not in Hamas, so why did they get killed?(But often when the question DOES get an answer, they'll ignore it and stick with the question instead.)

Low IQ people tend to presume that when they ask rhetorical or semi-rhetorical questions, they're somehow making an unassailable point. They aren't. They just haven't had anyone answer their question yet.

(But often when the question DOES get an answer, they'll ignore it and stick with the question instead.)

22 Minutes
Eve Barlow
Sep 06, 2025
https://evebarlow.substack.com/p/22-minutes?triedRedirect=true
It has taken until 700 days for Israel to get permissions from families and friends to freely distribute 22 minutes of the 47 minutes of footage that was initially shown to journalists in private screenings following the October 7 massacre. I was one of those journalists. I endured the entire 47 minute screening. I averted my eyes a few times, and just listened to sounds. For the most part, I kept my eyes open, no matter how horrifying, because I needed to bear witness to the atrocities to know that I understand October 7 and that I know why the IDF is in Gaza. I needed to see it all to strengthen my resolve in the face of a two-year-long media onslaught that has since taken place to frame Israel as the aggressor “genocidal” force, when in fact it was Gaza who intended to commit a genocide on that black Shabbat, 700 days ago.

You seem easily convinced - I don’t find that article convincing of anything much.

There’s a war to take down conservative media. I’m not going to ignore everything I’ve ever heard from Tucker and assume some hit-job article(s) are true, with nothing taken out-of-context.
