The 70's, probably the most disparaged decade of modern times. Yeah there was disco, Jimmy Carter, and the zeitgeist of the liberal press against Nixon.
I have fond memories of the decade though, especially the rock music of the era was and is the best and who can forget pet rocks.
Flame away and have fun, it's friday.

Best decade ever. Best cars. Best music until disco in 78. Best looking chicks. Groovy times.

When an AM radio station could make or break a rock act.
Or just create one from whole cloth.

I was in late teens and 20’s during the ‘70’s and remember most of those things. I didn’t scroll down the whole list.

Disco wasn’t all bad. It wasn’t intended to be great art, just something fun to dance to. There was a lot of good disco and there was bad disco, just like there was good Rock and bad Rock. Some people like to paint things with too broad a brush.

- Sega Master System

The music was great, but do not forget the cars! The late Sixties and early Seventies were the era of the muscle cars. Mustang Mach I, Barracuda, Charger, 71 Super Bee, and Road Runner.

After living through the 50s and 60s, I would have preferred to skip the 70s. Plaid bell bottoms and men with Clairol “dos”. No thanks. I’m happy I spent the entire 70s doing Cold War training and learning to kill Russkis.

I was young, but I remember most of these.
Yes, I was afraid of going into deeper water after I saw Jaws, I had a favorite Charlie’s Angel, and I remember waiting in line for a phone...

The Mullet haircut started taking over in the 1970s, having previously been relegated to antiquity and primitive tribes.
Sadly, it meant people didn't have friends in the 1970s.

I agree with you ... Disco was awesome.
