I have fond memories of the decade though, especially the rock music of the era was and is the best and who can forget pet rocks.

Best decade ever. Best cars. Best music until disco in 78. Best looking chicks. Groovy times.

I was in late teens and 20’s during the ‘70’s and remember most of those things. I didn’t scroll down the whole list.

Disco wasn’t all bad. It wasn’t intended to be great art, just something fun to dance to. There was a lot of good disco and there was bad disco, just like there was good Rock and bad Rock. Some people like to paint things with too broad a brush.
I still have my Atari 2600 in my extra bedroom that was turned into a retrogaming room:

- Nintendo NES
- Atari 7800
- Sega Master System
The music was great, but do not forget the cars! The late Sixties and early Seventies were the era of the muscle cars. Mustang Mach I, Barracuda, Charger, 71 Super Bee, and Road Runner.
After living through the 50s and 60s, I would have preferred to skip the 70s. Plaid bell bottoms and men with Clairol “dos”. No thanks. I’m happy I spent the entire 70s doing Cold War training and learning to kill Russkis.

Yes, I was afraid of going into deeper water after I saw Jaws, I had a favorite Charlie’s Angel, and I remember waiting in line for a phone...
Sadly, it meant people didn't have friends in the 1970s.
