US President Donald Trump urged Europe to cease its purchases of Russian oil on a call with European leaders at the Coalition of the Willing, Fox News reported on Thursday, citing a White House official.
Additionally, Trump stressed that European leaders should increase economic pressure on China "for funding Russia's war efforts," while stressing the importance of curbing financial aid to Russia.

My first interest is in America and how Putin’s and Kim Jong Un’s war affects us and our national security, it is sad what is happening to the country that Putin invaded, but we are helping them as much as we think is useful to us, which has sustained them all these years.
“Russia hasn’t declared war on Ukraine.”
You’re probably right that there’s not a formal declaration of war. But are you saying that the 2 nations are not at war? For example US was at war with North Vietnam but there was no formal declaration and of course there are many other examples of wars without formal declarations. There can be resolutions, characterizations as police actions. I don’t know exactly what Russia has documented with respect to the actions in Ukraine, but most observers would consider it to be a war.
I don’t recommend sending in US troops, in a combat or peacekeeping role. I don’t think too many here recommend that.
Are you certain that Euros would not send troops as peacekeepers following a settlement?
“Should Russia suffer any negative consequences for its war on Ukraine?”
That’s what I was asking on this thread. I wanted to know the opinions on this thread.
What do you think?
CoPilot: No, Vladimir Putin has not said he would allow European troops to serve as peacekeepers in Ukraine after the conflict ends. In fact, Russia has explicitly rejected the idea.
🇷🇺 Kremlin’s Position:
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow has a “negative attitude” toward the idea of European peacekeepers in Ukraine, citing NATO’s expansion as one of the root causes of the war
The Russian position is that the Ukrainian buffer to slow down the historical inevitable European invasion is an existential matter
Yes, I agree. I was just extending that info to the person that asked. Take a look at NATO’s expansion compared to Russia’s over the last couple of decades.
“Take a look at NATO’s expansion compared to Russia’s over the last couple of decades.”
Apples and oranges.
“The Russian position”
LOL! Putin’s position is to restore the Empire - BY FORCE!
Bwahahaha, perfect.
US trade with Russia continues as we speak :
August 2025:
• Fertilizer: The US imported $927 million worth of fertilizer in the first half of this year, US Census Bureau data shows. Last year, fertilizer imports from Russia totaled more than $1 billion. The US particularly relies on Russia for imports of three types of chemical fertilizers: urea, urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) and potassium chloride muriate of potash, also called potash.
“Unless the US sanctions Russian fertilizer imports, as it does with Belarusian potash, this (level of trade) is likely to continue,” said Allan Pickett, head of fertilizer analysis at S&P Global Commodity Insights. “Russia remains one of the most important global fertilizer suppliers and the influence of it has not diminished since 2022.”
• Palladium: Although palladium imports from Russia have reduced significantly since 2021, data shows that the US still imported $878 million worth of the metal in 2024 and $594 million worth in 2025, through June. The silvery metal is used in various electronic and industrial products and it’s a key component in the catalytic converters of cars.
Uranium and plutonium: The US has imported $755 million worth of uranium and plutonium from Russia so far this year, according to Census data through June. It imported $624 million worth of those commodities from Russia in 2024.
We've heard that for three and half years.
If Trump could have done that, he already would have.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
European countries will go into recessions and depressions if they don't keep buying cheaper oil from India. Its leaders aren't going to allow that.
You've exposed exactly who are you and what you stand for.
Hungary and Slovakia are under no obligation to destroy their economies over Ukraine, especially when they are the only two countries in Europe that want the war to end.
The answer to all those questions is that Trump is, rhetorically, trying to placate the neocons so they will enact his political agenda.
You're the enemy, Marcus.
is the Uranium from the Uranium One Hillary bribes?

Partly because we expand NATO eastward when we promised the Russians we wouldn't.
Even Biden in 1997 knew the Russians weren't going to tolerate a NATO military presence on its borders.
We're the fomented an an illegal coup in Ukraine and endangered Russia's naval base in Crimea and setoff a civil war in Ukraine.

Putin’s botched invasion of Ukraine is over.
