Cracker Barrel said Tuesday that after listening to its customers, it will scrap its new logo and keep the "Old Timer" in place.
"We thank your guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel," the restaurant chain said in a statement to FOX Business. "We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our ‘Old Timer’ will remain. At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family."
"As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon," the restaurant chain added.

That would have worked too!
I read this and flashed back to the interior of my Congregational Church (Before the UCC took over). Not sure how sterile Cracker Barrel is now….but it stillwould not match the inside of my childhood church.
I have never thought of a collection of rolling pins on a wall to be condescending me. I’m a little more sturdy in my emotional make up. What does that even mean?
I wasn’t spelling slop, as the definition clearly shows, and their food isn’t the actual problem. It’s the DEI and LGBTQ ideology.
My wife was a server at a chain that had a lot of stuff on the walls.
Her first reaction to going into a Cracker Barrel was, “It must be a pain in the neck to dust all that crap!”
When they re-designed her place it saved several hours a day in labor just keeping the place clean.
It’s not always about “DEI”.
Ah, a masochist. Never mind.
I agree!
I understand that of the 660 CR restaurants about 50-60 have been “modernized”...They need to STOP right now and try to return those 50-60 back to the original country design.
I don’t think it was ever about DEI.
The board implemented change because the very existence of Cracker Barrel depended on a change that would increase customers and revenue. Cracker Barrel is a failing enterprise.
From my perspective, the customer base that allowed growth and prosperity is either dead or aged. The former customer base just no longer exists.
New customers must be acquired.
I’m willing to bet that come next June these idiots display the perv flag
No, I agree with that when it was in its authentic form. The new CB has taken that and transformed it into neo-kitch collection that screams “Here’s your rolling pins, you Hicks!”
i eat tacobell( a clean white neighborhood one) and dont get sick.
Every cracker barrel is guaranteed to clean me out with 10 minutes of eating. Bob Evans is better to my stomach.
So imso, Cracker barrels serve slop.
Oh, Healy, you’re just so above it all and sturdy! You go, girl! 🤪 The ORIGINAL antique CB deco was interesting and warm when it was in its authentic form. The new CB has taken that and transformed it into neo-kitch collection that screams “Here’s your rolling pins, Healy you hick! Enjoy!” And then, you, being so emotionally sturdy, are to be satiated in its condescending sterility.
Cracker Barrel is one of those restaurants that has memorabilia, gadgets, etc hanging everywhere. It always bothers me, wondering when the last time they were washed or dusted. We were sitting at a CB table that had glass framed photos above and there was grime and dust all over them. YUK!
Every cracker barrel is guaranteed to clean me out with 10 minutes of eating.
A real glutton for punishment.
“sitting at a CB table that had glass framed photos above and there was grime and dust all over them.”

That’s more than likely about local management but I get your point.
Been many years since I’ve been in one, but my lasting impression of that experience is it wasn’t all that clean....I remember the table needed to be wiped off and dirty silverware but still, probably a local management issue.
On the road I’d rather just get something at a fast food drive thru. Locally, CBs really aren’t that convenient to get to and I know better options.
So no Wafflehouse?
Is English not your primary language? I never implied or between the lines said i eat at cracker barrel, I quit eating cracker barrel 10 years ago unless I am forced to by my MIL and wife who want to stop, then I usually have toast and water.
The “old timer” in the Cracker Barrel logo was a real man. He was Uncle Hershel who gave his nephew the money to begin the restaurant chain. There has even been an “Uncle Hershel’s Special” meal on the breakfast menu which was a favorite of the man whose name it bears.
Without the “old timer,” Uncle Hershel, there would NEVER have been a Cracker Barrel chain.
