All it takes is a substantial supply of Dilithium crystals and huge reserves of Unobtanium.

There is plenty of room for expansion within our own Solar System. Moving onwards towards other stars can wait until people like Democrats eventually ruin the entire Solar System.

Unless its built and tested and works I don’t believe it. But regardless you aren’t testing that on earth.

As soon as they build one of these contraptions it will implode during the first full scale test, sucking the entire solar system into it, relieving lurking aliens of an onerous chore.

Things have been warped in the USA since Woodrow Wilson, since FDR, since the “War On Poverty, and since the democRATS and DemoKKKrats embraced communism.
Fortunately, in the U S of A, there are ways to over-warp the evil warpists. Ronaldus Magnus began, and thanks to G-d, President Trump is making a huuuuge dent in the insanity that is the Left.

I’d rather they concentrate on the materials science and construction of a space elevator.
The best hope for faster-than-light travel - or for that matter, nearly as fast as light - is we get the tech from, hopefully, friendly space aliens. Either in ‘person’ or via something like outlined in Sagan’s book Contact.

But when the craft goes to warp speed, will there be a burst of white light or streams of multi-colored light like they have in the movies. That's what I want to know.

The concept in this paper is still in the “far future” zone of possibility, made of ideas that scientists still don’t know how to construct in any sense. This sounds like... an infinite improbability drive!
