United States President Donald Trump mentioned on Thursday that he thinks Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "will make peace."
"We will see if they can get along. And if they can, it will be great ... I thought the easiest [war to solve] would be this one, [but] it's actually the most difficult," he commented during a press conference.
He reiterated that the potential second meeting will outweigh the importance of the one taking place tomorrow in Alaska. Trump revealed that this meeting could potentially involve both Putin and Zelensky, himself, as well as potentially some European leaders.

“No Money, No Peace”!
sure they will, as soon as Russia leaves.
The only way Russia will stop is if Putin is dead. If he makes peace with no amazing gains, then he’s going to be killed. If Zelensky gives away land for peace, then he has bought some time, but Russia will be back for more. Russia will salami slice off a bit here and a bit there, never enough to provoke a full war. The war has to continue until one side is too exhausted to continue...or Putin dies.
Just for input:
I was having a Ukraine war discussion over the weekend and a fellow I respect believed - as did Porochenko - that the war could be ended in 24 hours one way only.
That Ukraine joins NATO. If Putin ended it, no joining.
Why would any Russian leader be MORE favorable to Ukraine and the West than Putin?
What would Ukraine joining NATO at this point accomplish?
Oh, I mean back prior to the election, when he stated it, before he had any diplomatic power.
“Why would any Russian leader be MORE favorable to Ukraine and the West than Putin?”
The prevailing consensus is that Putin attacked Ukraine because his popularity at home was declining. He was trying to reprise his situation after 2014 when he seized Crimea and had the highest popularity of his entire tenure.
Russia is in dire straights and it’s the oligarchs who are financing the war. The oligarchs would like nothing better than to get back to business as usual. They want to own mansions on the Rivera and Naples. They are all stuck in what is becoming more and more a hellhole. Also, there’s always the possibility that they’ll fall out of an open window or down a flight of stairs. Nobody who is likely to succeed Putin is remotely interested in this war. The new leader won’t be better or kinder, they simply want to get back to making money rather than having it gouged out of them.
ANSWER:"Mad Maxx"
Headline at The Telegraph:
“Ukraine has lost. Britain must now prepare for Russia’s next onslaught
It is time to put outrage, passion and wishful thinking aside and face facts: in what may well go down in history as the West’s gravest foreign policy failing of the 21st century, Ukraine has lost the war against Russia.
The conflict is likely to come to an end sooner rather than later – and on terms that favour Putin. Britain must accept that the Ukraine war is all but over – and prepare for an even bigger brewing conflict.”
Trump thought Zelensky was ready to sign a mineral deal in the White House too.
Until Zelensky dis-Respected Trump and Vance.
If Trump gets dis-respected by the Ukie Global Homo again.
That’s on Trump.
Imagine traveling back in time to the early 2000’s.
Ask someone back then who would win in a war between Russia and Ukraine.
Anyone with two brain cells to rub together would say, barring foreign interference, Russia would win.
The foreign interference is where we have got our panties in a wad. In the heat of the left and neocons making Russia out to be the bad guy du jour along with deep state financial tentacles getting wrapped up in Ukrainian politics for the last couple of decades, we got involved. Our pride is now wrapped up in this.
The thing is, this is pretty much - culturally anyway - a Russia internal matter. The Ukraine has had ties to Russia for centuries. Heck, the people living in what we now call Ukraine in the 9th century were referred to as the Rus, leading to the term Russian. After the breakup of the Soviet Union, it was a bitter pill for the Russians that Ukraine sought independence. A large percentage of Ukrainians speak Russian as their first language. All this to say that when Ukraine looked to align itself with NATO - Russia justifiably lost their sh!t.
Talk about poking the bear...
