There is infinite depth-of-field in AI-generated images, unlike photos taken with a lens. Sometimes they try to simulate limited depth-of-field by blurring background objects, but it still doesn’t look right.
AI-generated images look more like paintings than photos to me.

What if all these bad AI images with multiple thumbs and two left hands throughout the internet is a ploy to get everyone thinking that AI isn’t that advanced in order to use perfected AI images and videos to pull off deep fakes that can change influence elections and policy? Or is that too tin foil?
