Although it depends on your age, activity level, and body demands, you may survive without water only for a few days. Hydration from water and food is essential for optimal body functioning and survival.

What about beer? Hiccup.
We were always taught the rule of 3’s.
3 minutes without air
3 days without water
3 weeks without food.
Rule of three says 3 days.
Four days is what I remember being told as a kid.
A communist can live forever without water.
You will never see a commie drink a glass of water.
Vodka! That’s what they drink. Why is that, Mandrake?
I’ll tell you why. Fluoridation! That’s why.
When my sister was in hospice care, I asked the nurse who ran the home how long you can live without water, and she said a week at tops. Once my sister slipped into a coma, and wasn’t getting any sustenance, she lasted a bit longer than a week. She waited until her 70th birthday to die. We thought, maybe she didn’t want to die at the same age as our mother (69), and so waited to turn 70. Her birthday was September 2nd, so another reason I thought she waited until her birthday was because once she made it through the end of August her pension and social security checks for August, wouldn’t be cancelled.
My boys will give you the
best possible start
1400 megatons worth
So sad.
On the mountain today in the hot sun, I thought I would die of thirst in a few hours! I was knocking back lots of water.
I think it’s like the rule of 6’s now.
6 minutes = irreparable brain damage/death
6 days = organ failures due to dehydration and thickening of blood
6 weeks = body has scavenged all it can from muscle and fat
If the pilot’s good, I mean if he’s reeeally sharp, he can barrel that thing in so low, oh it’s a sight to see. You wouldn’t expect it with a big ol’ plane like a ‘52, but varrrooom! The jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!
Sorry, but Bear Grylls told me it's the rule of 3's. And I never doubt Bear Grylls.
3 hours extreme cold exposure
Well it can vary depending on weather, shelter, how active you are, and how hydrated you were at the start, and if you can eat food during this time
Beer is water with hops and barley.
It works.
Your post reminded of the fate of the crew of the Lady Be Good. A B-24 that was lost in the Libyan desert (April 4, 1943) when it overflew its home base by some 400 miles on the return trip from a mission to Salerno, Italy (from Wikipedia):
“…The diary also says the group survived for eight days in the desert, with only a single canteen of water to share. After walking 130 km (81 mi) from the crash site, the location of the remains of the five airmen shows they had waited behind while the other three (Guy Shelley, “Rip” Ripslinger and Vernon Moore) set off north, to try to find help. The body of S/Sgt Shelley was found 32 km (20 mi) away while 43 km (27 mi) further on were the remains of T/Sgt Ripslinger...”
Now it’s three. Climate change
Such a great movie
from beginning to end
as soon as you realize access to water is uncertain
start pissing in your water bottle
