People use the phrase ‘Green Cheese’ jokingly in relation to The Moon, but the term does not mean ‘green’ as in the color green.
It means the cheese is not ripened, so it’s ‘green’ and the color is still a milky, pale whitish shade, as is The Moon..............

R.B. Unripe cheese. Amazing! I did not know that! Learned something new today!
I do not generally buy Artisanal cheese from a Cheese Monger. I would like to but its usually a bit pricey. Our cheese is usually Walmart or maybe the grocery store white and presliced, or plastic jars of Parmesan (Not really Parmesan and containing wood dust to make it pourable.)
