Human Brains Rapidly Aged in The Pandemic, And It Wasn't Just The Virus
Science alert ^

The devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic may have left a significant mark on our brains, even if we didn't get sick.

Fatal cases of COVID-19 look scarily like old age in the brain, and now, new research suggests that the mental, social, and financial stresses of the pandemic may have aged our brains as well.

A team led by researchers at the University of Nottingham trained an AI model to recognize healthy aging in the brain, using the data of more than 15,000 adults in the UK Biobank.

The algorithm was then used to analyze the brain ages of two groups: one that had brain scans taken before the pandemic and another that had brain scans taken both before and during the pandemic.

During the pandemic, the average human brain aged five and a half months faster than it did before 2020.

This would be more illuminating if they differentiated between those vaccinated and those that did not take the so-called vaccines.

My shrink said my mental health actually improved during Covid. Of course, I retired from law enforcement just before covid started so it might’ve been that.

It was likely the masks and lack of sunshine. You breathed in and out bad air constantly and you didn’t get your vitamin D, a constituent of cholesterol, which is what your brain is made out of.

The dirty Chinese Communists and their deliberate Wuhan bioweapon against us.

More harm uncovered.

Is it like the scene in the reboot of Death Wish where the female psychiatrist says to the Bruce Willis character: “You’re improving so much. Whatever it is you’ve started doing lately, keep it up.” ?

Is this something that really applies to us Americans. This is a study of englishmen by an english higher education facility.

I liken retirement from law enforcement to repeatedly hitting yourself in the head with a board: It feels great when you stop. Don’t get me wrong, to a certain degree I always liked what I did. But until you’ve been retired for at least 6 months you don’t realize the effect it had on your day to day life.

While the study suggests that pandemic stress may have temporarily accelerated brain aging, it doesn’t offer irrefutable evidence of causation.

More importantly, neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to adapt and recover—means that even if structural changes occurred, they are probably reversible. The brain is shaped not only by trauma, but also by healing, learning, and human connection. The human brain is incredibly adaptive.

Extreme, sustained tension can scar, disrupt and wear down the brain, but a large percentage of these people are capable of recovering and do.
How else to explain the Phoenix Phenomenon of Holocaust victims and WW2 Veterans, many of whom witnessed and experienced all 7 circles of Dante’s Hell, and in some cases, these people were able to keep going, they were still able to trust others, enjoy the company of others.
Even find things in life to joke and laugh about.
The very notion that WW2 could become the basis of a popular, long running TV Comedy Show named Hogan’s Heroes is one of many reminders that a large cross section of humanity is born with an innate sense of optimism and joy.

“A team led by researchers at the University of Nottingham trained an AI model to recognize healthy aging in the brain,”

AI as analytic tool for looking inside the brain? Insane.

Not the A-Team, it is the BS-Team or the F-Team.

Statistics are statistics. Lies are Lies.

The Jab did the damage. And they still keep beating that broken Drum.

- trained an AI model -….this will be the new research methods to skew results to drive certain outcomes and results. It will depend on who does the training. Take this study and similar “trained AI” studies with a grain of salt.

Agree.

It is probably real, but it is from the Jab.

I’ve never heard of this pseudo science source.

My assessment, certainly not worth the time to pretend you understand the nonsense.

My experience during the pandemic reminded me of a scene where the female protagonist approaches Donald Sutherland at the end of “Invasion of the body snatchers.” He points at her and makes the alien hiss noise. That’s how I felt. I was in constant dread of someone panicking because I wasn’t wearing a mask, or I walked the wrong way down a food aisle. People were sitting alone in an airconditioned car or jogging down deserted country roads wearing a mask. A woman getting into the elevator asked if I had been vaccinated and then backed out in a panic when I said no. The stress of being surrounded by crazy people was wearing. It felt like I was in some weird science fiction horror movie.

Incidentally, I still see people wearing masks, but they almost always have them below their nose. These people are wearing talismans, like carrying a rabbit’s foot. I’ve always wanted to follow them to their cars to see if they had COEXIST or other crazy bumper stickers.

However, because children’s growing processes get pruned as they dont use them, some children are permanently hampered.

It was indeed very strange to see so many otherwise normal looking people instantly become Uber-Bossy Busybodies who took all those health guides literally.
Even Dr. Fauci now admits he just made that 6 foot separation rule up, with no science behind it at all.
The Covid experience taught me how easily my American society could some day flip into a Majority Sharia society
