Human Brains Rapidly Aged in The Pandemic, And It Wasn't Just The Virus
Science alert ^

The devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic may have left a significant mark on our brains, even if we didn't get sick.

Fatal cases of COVID-19 look scarily like old age in the brain, and now, new research suggests that the mental, social, and financial stresses of the pandemic may have aged our brains as well.

A team led by researchers at the University of Nottingham trained an AI model to recognize healthy aging in the brain, using the data of more than 15,000 adults in the UK Biobank.

The algorithm was then used to analyze the brain ages of two groups: one that had brain scans taken before the pandemic and another that had brain scans taken both before and during the pandemic.

During the pandemic, the average human brain aged five and a half months faster than it did before 2020.

The Brits have definitely gotten dumber which I thought was impossible. Just read Brit news. So stupid. Britain is lost.

It’s one of the reasons why kids look so much older today , because as the brain ages it takes the body along with it

I agree. I am not so sure this “study” applies to the people of the US of A.

I worked for a UK company and sadly they became more bureaucratic and willfully ignorant.

There was a new UK manager who had zero concepts of technology, physics, electronics, geography, or anything else except reading email messages back and making excuses.

Me the technical person had my intelligence insulted pretty much every day.

One of the dumbest things I heard from him was that someone (me) should dust every switch cabinet regularly. It didn’t matter that one was about 30 feet on a high brick wall.

It wasn’t quite telephone sanitizing.

The Covid experience taught me how easily my American society could some day flip into a Majority Sharia society

it was shocking to see how fast the majority collapsed
no resistance
no brains
no moral fortitude

in 2020 it became clear to me how Hitler pulled off the holocaust

Pity the lost Goglafrinchams slain by the virulent disease caught from the unsanitized telephone :D

15,000 is a tiny study....and it's rather obvious that the answer they got was what they were supposed to get. They are unbelieveable.

Wonder what the temp of the earth should be today at any point in time on every point on earth. It should be EXACTLY what they said it should be.

Extreme, sustained tension can scar, disrupt and wear down the brain, but a large percentage of these people are capable of recovering and do.

Or rather aren’t.

Saw those people all over Ann Arbor, wearing masks alone in their cars, lol.

Got banned from Whole Foods there for my “PLACEBO” mask.

Upset the lemmings, I suppose the button that read “Masks are as worthless as Joe Biden” set them off too.

We were encouraged to not think — not exercise our brains. And if we did have the audacity to figure out things, and come to our own conclusions, we were beaten down.

The UK management I had in my last months there would definitely be like the Goglafrinchams.

Exactly. Many Americans I saw used the time as a long, subsidized vacation, going out to eat more than ever, even going to the beach because they could “work” remotely. In the UK, they were basically under house arrest.
