Our food costs in Oklahoma increased for many items closer to 50%. Of course, most of that was price gouging, because in Oklahoma, one grocery corporation owns most grocery. And I’m pretty sure Walmart monitors other grocers prices, because there’s are no better and they will charge as much as they can away with.
I think the democrats immediately deleted the post too once they saw what they did.
Culprit for Food Inflation = democrats

This isn’t just groceries. It’s restaurants, hotels, home services, insurance, and much more. Everything is monetized. Look at the ridiculous tips issues lately. It truly is madness.

Great but how does that make your basic no frills 20-21” China made and Walmart sold $150 push mower pre-covid, now a $350 push mower and who’s pay more than doubled in that same time span because it sure wasn’t mine?
Here is the other half of the story.I will lay the food crisis squarely at the feet of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.
People forget about the ripple effect of the backlog at the Los Angleses port that most famously resulted in the scarcity of baby formula for many months.
People are forgetting that the root cause of the increased food prices today is due to the Biden-Harris-Buttigieg administration's failure to manage the supply chain back in 2022.If you recall, the fallout from the botched supply chain backup resulted in rail companies declaring force majeure and canceling transport contracts for grains and feedstocks to farmers. This forced farmers to dump milk, and eventually slaughter their chickens and livestock because they couldn't feed them. The rail companies had to prioritize their rolling stock to help alleviate the backlogs at the west coast shipping ports and transport those goods across the country.
We're now seeing the prices of milk, cheese, eggs, ground beef, bacon, bread, and other farm products rise because it takes years to recover from the slaughter of herds of beef livestock, milking cows, pigs, chickens, and the loss of the resulting dairy and meat byproducts.

President Trump's response to the Democrats who blame him for not reducing prices should be simple:
-PJThe Biden/Harris administration increased prices by 22% during their four years in office, with inflation peaking at 9%.
The only way to bring prices back down to the levels that I gave them when they took over is a 1930s depression with high unemployment, business bankruptcies, housing/mortgage foreclosures, and long breadlines.
Are the Democrats really calling for a Depression 2.0 after they caused the high prices in the first place?
Is that what they want? I don't think so.

Spot-on. Most of the grocery items that I buy regularly have stayed the same “higher” price. The new norm is exactly what it appears to now be, despite the claim of lower inflation.
WAIT UNTIL YOU HEAR THE NEW RULES OREGON WISHES TO APPLY TO “FARM STANDS”
Once prices skyrocket like that, while they come down, they never come down to pre-whatever levels.
Hey come down enough for people to feel better about it.
And yes, I do realize that other factors are involved in the cost of food production and transport so you can’t really ever expect them to get back to where they were.
That’s why I’m such a big advocate for gardening, if possible. ANYTHING helps, even container gardens for people without land.
And honestly, herbs are usually ridiculously easy to grow and can be passed off in many cases as ornamentals. They are very cost effective to grow when you check out the price of herbs in the stores. And they’re easy enough to harvest and dry. Just takes a little time but the satisfaction is well worth it.
