Spot-on. Most of the grocery items that I buy regularly have stayed the same “higher” price. The new norm is exactly what it appears to now be, despite the claim of lower inflation.
You realize that deflation would have to occur for the prices to drop?
Prices go down during a deflationary period. Inflation rote of 0 mean no increase in prices.
