This program is giving more Palm Beach County residents the chance to call themselves homeowners.
The program is run by the county’s Department of Housing and Economic Development.
“We provide up to $100,000 for down payment assistance, new construction, acquisition and closing costs,” said Dorina Jenkins-Gaskin, the director of Mortgage and Housing Investment with the Palm Beach County Housing and Economic Development.

How in the world does a family with those income limits afford a house that expensive?
The diversifying ones will be gone soon enough when they can’t afford the escrow for the taxes and insurance.
In Palm Beach County those are not pricier homes. But your conclusion is valid.
The home prices are so high in Californis one would be hard pressed to get a bank to except $100,000 for a down payment.
