This program is giving more Palm Beach County residents the chance to call themselves homeowners.

The program is run by the county’s Department of Housing and Economic Development.

A one-person household can earn no more than $65,450; a six-member household can earn no more than $108,500. The property's purchase price cannot exceed $568,557.“

How in the world does a family with those income limits afford a house that expensive?

The diversifying ones will be gone soon enough when they can’t afford the escrow for the taxes and insurance.

In Palm Beach County those are not pricier homes. But your conclusion is valid.

The home prices are so high in Californis one would be hard pressed to get a bank to except $100,000 for a down payment.

I just bought windows in Florida for 10,800 excluding the two sliders. I could have probably gone through this program but it’s time burden and a lot of paperwork. Nothing is free as they say

Well, that eliminates a huge chunk of potential buyers and homes for sale in the New York City metro area…
