Laughing at arseoles has always, always, been effective in getting rid of them. It is like defeating a bully — they can only run away.
Do this alla time when someone pipes up with obvious crappola; a scoffing sound, a low “Yeah, right”. Don’t have to back it up and get into an argument. Just let them know that the soapbox they want to stand on is not always for them.
