New York Jews Support Trump More Than Any Other Group
New American Prophet ^ | July 27, 2025 | Daniel Greenfield

Posted on 07/27/2025 6:13:00 AM PDT by Rev M. Bresciani

In New York State, Jews have the highest favorable opinion of President Trump. Jews support Trump more than any other religious group, more than Catholics and Protestants, upstate voters, and more than white voters in general.

Jews are the only identity group in the state with whom Trump isn’t underwater even at the same time as Sen. Schumer polls worse among Jews than among Catholics or Protestants.

I read that 80% of America’s Jews voted for Kamala, which I find curious, since Judaism is not a left-wing religion.

It seems like you only need to call your opponent a Nazi, to get Jewish support.

I don't think their political choices are more sophisticated than that. Too bad!

“I read...”

That automatically puts the possibility into a question mark. The media lies all the time and this is just like their support for Hilly in 2016 and Kamala in 2024. Don’t believe what you read all the time from sources that need you like next year.

I simply don’t believe it. Unless Orthodox Jews /Hasidm outnumber secular/reform Jews. The two cultures are like night and day

It’s worth following the link. It’s at odds with everything else that I’ve read over the years. Was I fooled for decades by the MSM? It’s possible but seems unlikely. Have things recently changed over all? Or is it simply Donald?

Harris 65% vs. Trump 34% among self-identified Jews, per this Pew Research poll...
https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2024/09/09/white-protestants-and-catholics-support-trump-but-voters-in-other-us-religious-groups-prefer-harris/

But your point stands... Jews do swing left politically, but I don’t think it has much to do with the Jewish religion per se. It’s a cultural thing of generations of identifying with secular leftism along with a certain phobia of the “Christian right” trying to convert and/or force Christianity upon them.

I knew a Jewish woman who was atheist but lit the candles every Friday night.

What she worshipped - devoutly -was being Jewish - being smart and liberal.

The child she hardly mentioned was the one who didn’t marry a Jew and didn’t have an advanced degree. The only oppressed people she didn’t champion were the Palestinians.

Devoutly, proudly Jewish. Religion had nothing to do with it.

Surprised to see Daniel Greenfield writing for your website, Reverend.

Why didn’t you post his original piece at his Sultan Knish website?

I find this to be entirely believable. Remember this is just New York Jews, and Pres. Trump is a New Yorker, born and bred. He’s rubbed shoulders with NY Jews all his life, getting along with them and doing business with them. One of his mentors was Roy Cohn. His daughter married into a prominent Jewish family and converted, taking the name Yael. Pres. Trump has made at least one pilgrimage to the tomb of the late Kabbalah wizard Schneersohn. There have even been rumors (online, of course) that he converted at the urging of his daughter. So it’s not at all surprising that New York Jews of all flavors would be fond of Pres. Trump.

Those 80% (assuming that the figure is correct, and I think that it’s a bit high) are generally not religiously observant, and generally don’t give a damn about the faith of their fathers. Leftism is their religion - Judaism has nothing to do with their politics.

But they are having less kids and intermarrying, whereas the more politically conservative Orthodox are not intermarrying and are having more kids. The politics of today won’t be the same for long.

New York Jews are defying the trend in a state poll that shows 60% of the state has an unfavorable view of Trump and a poll rigged with slanted negative questions asking about the detention of elected officials over ICE protests, keeping the SALT cap in place, “cutting taxes for corporations” and cutting food stamps for “poor people” in a calculated effort to elicit negative responses. Despite that, Jews were the only group to continue standing by President Trump.

Would democrats lie and mislead using slanted polls to try to keep the Jewish vote? Bet on it. Greenfield's right on this - we're starting to get the New York Jewish vote...

“What she worshipped - devoutly -was being Jewish - being smart and liberal.”

Sounds right. I am forming the opinion that “being Jewish” is the core. This is foreign to Christians, for whom Jesus Christ is the foundation.

Trump isn’t under water with Catholics or Protestants either. Fake Fox polls.

“”””It’s a cultural thing of generations of identifying with secular leftism along with a certain phobia of the “Christian right” trying to convert and/or force Christianity upon them.””””

Don’t blame the victim, America, the Jews have been a force of the left from the beginning, and democrats were as religious as republicans or more so, until fairly recently.
