The media leverage summer weather into apocalyptic panic
American Thinker ^ | July 26, 2025 | Jack Hellner

Every day when I see Al Roker on NBC, he shows the weather map, and he claims that everything is caused by climate change. And of course, the public has been indoctrinated to believe that the climate has suddenly started changing because of humans and our use of natural resources, or eating meat and doing other nefarious human things.

It is all a scam.

In. USA Today article entitled “Late July’s oppressive heat forecast isn’t normal,” you can see in the opening paragraphs how the scam works. The not-normal, we’re told, is that it’s going to be really hot, so that people should try to stay cool:

As the clock ticks down the final days of July, thermometers will climb across much of the eastern half of the U.S., creating a dangerous and long-lasting heat wave that will put millions at risk of heat stroke and other illnesses.

Those in the path of the heat wave should plan to take extra measures to stay cool through at least July 30. Keep things chill by staying in air-conditioned spaces, visit friends with pools, pile up the popsicles and lemonade and pull out the recipe for your favorite cold summer salad.

“This will be a long duration heat wave, with little to no overnight relief and high humidity levels, leading to an increased danger,” the National Weather Service Weather Prediction Center said on July 24.

Daily highs in the upper-90s to near 100 degrees are forecast to combine with humidity to create conditions where the “feels like” temperatures could exceed 110-115 degrees, according to a July 25 forecast by Jennifer Tate at the prediction center.

A one-minute internet search yielded the following, with affirmation from no less a source than the New York Times. It reports that the longest and deadliest heat wave...

I don’t fear the Modern Warm Period. I fear the political class that pushes the Warmageddon cult.

A quick peek at NYC temps. This weekend highs top at 85F. M-W high 95F. Thursday-Sun high at 85F. The sky is falling too. Here in DFW we haven’t officially recorded a 100F reading yet.

On my way out the door, just wanted to mention the incredible LOW temperatures in Sacramento, Kalifornia. In July, JULY in Sacramento, highs in the low 80s.

My first July in Sacramento, in the 1990s, it was 110° for days and days.

A 40% chance of rain means 60% chnce that it won’t rain.

The soccer mothers that have nothing else to worry about, freak out when a game is cancelled becaus of “rain”.
The chance of rain was 20%.

Fear porn. Our short fat little weatherman is mostly wrong.
(He is black but race doesn’t matter) He dresses nice.

Here in Redding we’ve had the lowest June July temps in the 30 years I’ve lived here.

These people are professional liars .

It’s been an unusually mild summer here in the Inland Pacific Northwest, too.

It has not reached 100 degrees yet here in Dallas. Big D normally has 8 days at 100 by now.

Yes, it is bad...it should be SNOWING in Florida, with ice sheets a mile thick in New York...😀

There was a big heat wave panic in 1976, too. And, a swine flu panic.

And, a panic about a speech a guy named Reagan gave at the GOP/RNC convention.

I have a name for a string of hot days just like this.

I call it Summer. Happens every year. I turn on the A/C and jump in the pool and lake more often. We are not in panic mode, that is certain.

I live in the real “mid” Midwest & we get some 100* days, but humidity is normally lower than many of the “Hot” places. Still it is uncomfortable short of frequent rains, some winds or A/C. Normally cools down fairly well during nighttime hours.
