The “Take Charge Of Your Health” Ping List

This high volume ping list is for health articles and studies which describe something you or your doctor, when informed, may be able to immediately implement for your benefit.

Email me to get on either the “Common/Top Issues” (20 - 25% fewer pings) or “Everything” list.

Thank you, Red Badger!

I contracted an MRSA pneumonia last year in the hospital. It took 1 gram of vancomycin IV every 12 hours for 5 weeks to beat it. I had lots of other antibiotics in the course of recovering from the Whipple procedure post-op infections. My ears ring now and my hearing feels depressed. I supposed it is a small price to pay for surviving a MRSA pneumonia.

These articles rarely state how MUCH MORE RISK. If it is a 10% risk increase for high blood pressure medication, the meds are worth it. 1,000%, maybe not.

Been living with tinnitus for many years along with severe hearing loss... Sound machine at night to counter the tinnitus and I’ve noticed numerous OTC pain meds can cause spikes as do antibiotics if needed. Most Drs don’t have a clue when you mention ototoxic drugs.

Omigosh! Thanks for the info, Red Badger. I have hearing issues. I was told it’s hereditary. I wonder now.
