In history class we all learn about "ancient civilizations", like Greece, Persia, Babylon, and Rome. Recorded history, however, starts several thousand years prior to Greece or Rome, for example, being around. So, what did they know about the past? I recently watched this documentary where they theorized that a sudden harsh cooling period might have spawned the Bronze Age Collapse. The idea is that lower temperatures would have produced less evaporation from the seas and therefore less rainfall. I’d love to hear people’s take on it.
