Andy Byron has resigned from his big bucks CEO position of AI company Astronomer just days after he was caught canoodling with his head of HR on a jumbotron at a Coldplay concert, setting off a wild internet frenzy.
โAs stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met,โ the company said in a statement. โAndy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.โ
On Thursday, the company said Byron was placed on leave and an interim CEO was named.
Byron and Kristin Cabot sparked a near-unprecendented viral storm when they were seen desperately dodging the kiss cam while cuddling at the concert near Boston Wednesday night.

No resignation from her? She’s the innocent victim? No reason to hold her accountable for anything?

Is canoodling better or worse than hanky panky?

It really is funny that his betrayal of his wife was so inforseeably gloriously revealed.

Yes. There was discussion of censoring the term on FR but they let it go through. Change standards with the times and move on.

In general, the supervisor gets the blame because of their position. Coercion is inferred. She’s probably untouchable from a legal point.

Openly doing what they were doing without the camera from stage existing would still be very stupid. They were in public with no way to know who might see, record or recognize them.

Really? For a term that means to kiss and cuddle? Crazy to even consider banning the term!

"Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met," the company said in a statement. That's comedy gold from the Astronomer company public affairs team.

Exactly. It was really stupid on their part to attend the concert.

They're referring to the fact it was a Coldplay concert, not the employees' infidelity.
