July 17 (UPI) -- A 911 call about a person trapped in the rushing water of a canal led emergency responders in California to the discovery of a discarded blow-up doll.

Fresno police and firefighters were summoned to the canal near McKinley and Peach Avenues on a report of a person, possibly deceased, trapped against a grate by the rushing water.

They arrived to find that what initially appeared to be a body was, in fact, a life-sized blow-up doll.

Authorities alerted the irrigation district to have the doll removed.

I heard all the California goons have their own blow up dolls. I guess one got out of the house alone.

Read a story years ago where an equipment manufacturer overseas filled several blow up dolls with helium and used them to protect their equipment being shipped to the USA. They served a useful person and added humor to the shipment.

The receiving company in the US got a letter from customs warning them not to do that again as they opened the shipment for inspection and there are now blow up dolls floating around the ceiling of the US Customs Office.

Smiling Faces Sometimes
The Undisputed Truth

Smiling faces sometimes pretend to be your friend
Smiling faces show no traces of the evil that lurks within

There was a Twilight episode about this, Telly Savalas tossed the doll in the river.
