“pompous little commie ass host who is the most unfunny jerk with a deformed ear”
Most unfunny? To be honest, I don’t know of any other jerks with deformed ears.
It’s all about ratings, advertising, and maximizing your return on investment.
For some reason entertainers have no concept of what any of that means.
If Colbert was raking in the cash in adverts for his $15 million a year, he would be on the air forever.
Profits don’t care about “politics.” Lack of profits will make management pretty damned picky.
Don’t let the door hit you on the way out Steve. Maybe you should have gone back to telling funny jokes.
Here’s the solution, as colbert transitions to a podcast, hollywood “elites” can spend their own money to keep the lights on.
Keep digging, Hollyweird.
You lot can’t go broke fast enough for me.
AI will replace celebrities.
It’s not about ratings, not about advertising.
How do you make money with lousy ratings and demos?
My bet is that Hollyweird was getting subsidized for their money-losing political messaging, and now that money has been cut off.
And Hollyweird has no intention of putting its own money where its mouth is.
Would, love to see the meltdown IF they replaced him with a conservative comedian 😆 🤣
Works for me.
I love AI cat videos. 😸
BTW, I replaced celebrities decades ago.
We were the last people we knew to get a color TV and a VCR back in the day.
The first two movies we got on tape were both B&W.
Haven’t bought anything produced recently in years.
I never found the guy funny nor entertaining. Maybe it’s just me, but he seemed to be a snarky, no talent mocking bird with a crazy eyes.
Actors have no concept of ratings.
Winning!
Next
That won't happen. Leno is too busy playing with his toys.
Does anyone care what “celebrities” think anymore?
“Influencers” are the thing now.
Personally, I don’t care what any of them “think”.
Don’t we realize they are royalty? We owe them our patronage, respect, tithings and perpetual fealty! Genuflect and pay homage to their eminence, you filthy wretches!
Post of the Thread.
Indeed, nowadays, all they’d need to do is hook up an iPhone to a laptop and broadcast Colbert on YouTube, to Twitch, or Tik Tok etc. or splurge and buy a website and broadcast on their own platform.
Colbert could do a podcast, too. Do the Joe Rogan thing. Charge and as]emission fee. Sell subscriptions. And so on.
There are COUNTLESS ways Adam Scott, Rachel Ziegler, and all the other virtue-signaling peddlers of immorality could get their man back into the limelight.
The fact that they’re not, is all we need to know about the extent to which this is a sham.
Criminy. In the entertainment and communication industries being called in the office and summarily fired is common. If they like you they’ll let you say good bye on the air. This infamous joker, they’ve given 8 months notice and they’ll give him a king’s send off. Not exactly being kicked to the curb
bunch of hate junkies, As if "The View" isnt enough hate for the day, they need it at night too. MSNBC not doing the job either.
I fear the end times are near, men have become lovers of themselves and all things evil.
Hate Rules too many people's lives.
His contract is up next May, IIRC.
Easy peasy.
