Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani is giving business leaders fair warning: He promised he’d tax them and wealthy New Yorkers if elected — and he means to keep that promise.
He basically dared them to leave the city if he did.
Say goodbye to city tax revenue and jobs and hello to a downward spiral, if that happens.
On Tuesday, the Dem front-runner met with 100 of the city’s top business leaders and made absolutely no attempt to hide his plans.
“He didn’t back away from any policy position,” one attendee told The Post.
As The Post’s Charles Gasparino reproted, many top business honchos are now “looking for an exit strategy rather than a strategy to deal with a mayor Mamdani.”
Who can blame them?
The far-left Democrat is already on record saying that billionaires shouldn’t exist.
For years, Mamdani and his socialist pals have plotted to take power in “the center of US capitalism,” and now they’re on the verge of getting “a chance to flex its muscles.”
The city’s bankers and business elite are understandably worried.
Mamdani is also looking to freeze or cut NYPD funding, destroy the housing market with a rent freeze and have government take over private businesses like supermarkets.
Plus, he’s likely to bring a whole pack of lefty Democratic hacks and a passel of Democratic Socialist extremists into City Hall with him.

That will lower rents in NYC. All those jobs gone and no one to live there.
Mamdsami is destroying NYC. Events are very similar to 1910 Portugal when a minority of socialist took over the gov’t of Portugal and it never recovered for years. They blamed the collapse on the Church. All nuns, priests and bishops were given mug shots and not allowed to wear clerical garments and most churches were closed for years. Of course economical collapse soon followed and it never recovered.
They’re all “hunkering down”.

The irony, of course, is that if they leave, they’ll take their tax revenue and jobs with them.
The businesses that won’t be able to leave are the property owners. Their fortunes will disappear as the value of their assets plummet.
Interestingly, this is what made the incumbent mayor -- that clown Eric Adams -- so toxic that he dropped out of the Democratic primary and run as an independent.
Adams -- the one black candidate in what is now a four-way race -- is polling at around 16% among black voters in NYC.

I don’t blame Mamdani, per se. There is an unending supply of psychopath wannabe leaders.
THe problem is that there is enough of an expectation from the electorate that someone like Mamdani actually appears to be a viable candidate.
Mamdani will seek to do what he says, I do not doubt this. But the degenerates that vote for what he says he will do will be coming to your town after they utterly collapse NYC and loot everything that isn’t nailed down.

I unfriended every one of my Jewish Democrat friends. They all like this commie and says he will help NYC. Of course all my Jewish Democrat friends no longer live in NYC because they said rents were too high and it costs more to park than it does to rent an apartment.
When NY fails under that communist, he (and they) will do what communists (and all democrats) always do—blame everything and everyone else!
