How bad are things for the Democrats right now?
They're embracing extremist politicians, illegal aliens, and even demonizing law enforcement.
They are in chaos, with no real leaders. Now, there are multiple investigations into the cover-up of the cognitive decline of the "leader" they did have - Joe Biden.
But they're Democrats. So they can always go lower. And they just did, in a new Quinnipiac poll.
"The job approval rating for congressional Democrats has plunged to another all-time low, with fewer than 2 in 10 Americans happy with their work on Capitol Hill."
"Only 19% of registered voters approve of the way Democrats in Congress are handling their job, a Quinnipiac University Poll released Wednesday found."
"The dismal rating for congressional Dems is the lowest ever recorded by the pollster, which first began asking the question in 2009."
That's with 72 percent disapproving.
"The approval numbers for Democrats can be characterized as flat out terrible," Quinnipiac University polling analyst Tim Malloy said.
Yikes. That's even lower than the 21 percent that Quinnipiac reported in March, when CNN's Harry Enten snarked, "You just can't get lower than these numbers."
But the Democrats found a way.
Even among Democrats, they are in deep trouble - a "majority (52%) disapprove of congressional Democrats, with only 39% satisfied."
But I have faith. I think if they work a little harder and take bad positions on more issues that antagonize the American people, they could maybe hit single digits.

Theoretically the approval rating of democRATs should converge with the approval rating of satan.

Any patriotic American cannot approve a party determined to destroy our Republic.
I think they should stand on the Capitol steps and tunelessly sing protest songs. The fattest and loudest should go to ICE facilities and strong arm the officers .
Others should issue social media posts advocating passionately for cutting body parts of children. Doing these things should fix it up for the democrats right away.
That has got to scare the bejabbers out of Democrats. The Quinnipiac poll is notoriously left-leaning. The Dems can only hope that the Pubs do the usual, viz., internecine warfare.
Surely if only they would homo-islamo-marxist harder then the average American would come around.
Quinnipiac always trends to the left. The low rating is perhaps even lower.
They do not care.

It is like GWB second term. Both the D’s and R’s disliked him. It didn’t make the R’s D voters though. Ditto here.

When these polls indicate that the dems will get less than 40% of the vote, then it means something. Right now, this is just chitchat.
Between wobbly-kneed Republicans and gerrymandering, the ‘RATS should do fine next year.
The GOP should observe but be warned. pride goeth before the fall. Feeling too much glee about the Dims problems will not improve the things the GOP must actually do. The GOP focus should be 100% on producing good results/policies. Le the Dims wallow in their own problems.

Anyone with political experience KNEW it had to be UNDER 20 when the most recent poll “report” posted in The Hill did not include any actual numbers.
So down 8o/20 on every important issue, no money, trailing so badly on the generic question that no numbers are used there either and 19% approval rating; and article about the uphill battle the Republicans face to hold the House - and we are supposed to be worried about the first mid-term election.
Be concerned of course. Silly talk about working like we are down ten NO. That only leads to effort where it is not needed at the expense of effort where it really is close. I have seen it and seen it cause us to lose.
Yeah and I would bet Obama’s new stance on ‘get your boy to be friends with a gay man’ is not going to help matters any.
