A Colorado prosecutor who moved to dismiss charges against a sex offender accused of attempting to kidnap a boy from an elementary school "will be recalled," a local politician confirmed to the New York Post on Monday (July 14).
“The conduct of the 18th DA over the past six months is beyond deplorable. This is simply the icing on the cake,” said Aurora City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky, a Republican, on the "effort" to "recall" Democratic DA Amy Padden, which she said "is well under way and will begin this week."
“The progressive attitude will not be tolerated,” she added. “While certain state laws highlight deeper issues in the state of Colorado, Amy Padden will be recalled for her part in not upholding the laws and punishing criminals.”

Amy Padden is serving her first term as Arapahoe County District Attorney, serving the 18th Judicial District. She was sworn into office Jan. 14, 2025 and her current term expires January 2029.

Massive difference between how he looked then and his mugshot now. Maybe he was trans before he became schizophrenic. In the mugshot he looks drug-addled so maybe that’s the downward slide of schizophrenia mixed with drugs. At least this time he will be put in a mental institution where they can hopefully help him. Schizophrenia is a terrible thing. And it’s a terrible thing for kids to be put at risk because a criminal is mentally incompetent to stand trial but the system releases him back into the public.
Danielle Jurinsky is the Councilwoman against whom false accusations of child abuse were made by Arapahoe County DHS worker Robin Niceta, who was at that time the wife/girlfriend of now-former Aurora Police Chief Vanessa Wilson.

Scott Sharp happens to be from Colorado, so he took a bit more than a passing interest in this case.
If an objectively dangerous person is incompetent to stand trial, he is incompetent to live without strict supervision and most likely confinement.
This would-be kidnapper may well be too mentally ill for trial at present. Confine him until he takes his medication and becomes competent. If he never does, keep him.
The man who shot and killed Jillian Ludwig in Nashville is pleading incompetence, after he successfully pled incompetence and was released in an earlier shooting.
Dangerous and incompetent? High security institution. Not the streets.
