A woman who appeared on MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” was arrested Monday in Georgia on charges including involuntary manslaughter related to a man’s death by fentanyl poisoning earlier this year.
Whitney Purvis, 33, was being held without bond in the Floyd County Jail in Rome, Georgia, about 65 miles (105 kilometers) northwest of Atlanta, according to online jail records.
The arrest is tied to the February death of a man named John Mark Harris.
An arrest warrant accuses Purvis of giving Harris a combination of xylazine and fentanyl known as “Tranq” that led to an overdose, according to TMZ.
The arrest comes a month after Purvis, who appeared on the reality show “16 and Pregnant” in 2009, lost her eldest son Weston Jr. on June 2 when he died of natural causes, according to Deadline.

If ever there was a representation of how beer-goggles work, there it is.
Hmm, maybe being 16 and pregnant isn’t the best way to start out.
Well, it’s marginally better than 14 or 15 and pregnant. I guess.
Everyone is a star.
Are these two pics supposed to be of the same person?
The glamour shot on the right almost veers into Trans territory, all is done with such a heavy hand.
That can’t be the same girl. It’s like comparing a Grapefruit to a Banana.
Powder and paint make a woman what she ain’t.
Not “booked for murder”?

AI is amazing, isn’t it?
I went to high school with a guy whose mom was 16 and his grandmother was 32 years old when he was born.
I know that was more common in earlier decades, but they were more prepared and responsible back then, I think.
Yes it is amazing.
If she’s trying to meet a guy who expects to see Glamour Girl, and the Chicken Farmer’s Daughter answers the door, she will have a lot of explaining to do.
Yet another “duck-lipped” loser. Surprised she’s missing that nose ring I so adore.
You should be more tolerant. Nose rings are very biblical.
In Genesis 24:22, Abraham's servant is looking for a bride for Issac, and he starts by giving Rebekah a golden nose ring that weighs half a shekel and also two golden bracelets weighing 10 shekels.
The nose ring is valuable enough that it is a sure thing her nose was pierced to prevent loss of the ring. And, when she goes back to her brother Laban, he immediately notices the nose ring and the bracelets. This indicates that her nose was already pierced and she was probably wearing a nose ring of lesser quality.
Why is this true? Well, if her nose had not already been pierced, the first thing Laban would have noticed would have been the blood from her self-piercing to accommodate the very valuable nose ring...
It does appear to be the same person…just after possibly years of drug abuse. Pretty sad.
Thanks for the interesting bit of history. Still fails to convince me, biblical yes, attractive in my opinion...falls short.
Yeah, that billboard of a forehead in the first pic seems to be missing in the AI version.
God blessed her with a baby to make an adult out of her.
She rejected that too.
