"After I see the people run, I just see something big, just walking just right over there, it went right over there I swear, I promise you, it went right over there. And it said 'rawr,' and I just kept walking," he recalled. "I seen it, seeing me, see it, so in my head I’m like, ‘Nah, I got to go man, I’m out.'"
Jones said he remains on edge.
"I am going to keep this bat right here, man, just in case," he said during Thursday's interview. "I am going to protect us, I ain’t going to let nothing happen to us, nothing. OK?"

I’d enjoy getting to know Curtis because of his attitude and particularly the way he talks.
Yes firearms work very well for taking care of critters of all types.
The common raccoon dog, also called the Chinese or Asian raccoon dog to distinguish it from the Japanese raccoon dog, is a heavy-set, fox-like canid native to East Asia. Named for its raccoon-like face markings, it is most closely related to foxes. Wikipedia
Mass: 13 lbs (Male, In Spring), 12 lbs (Female, In Fall)
Seems ghetto folk have moved on from pit-bulls.
60 lbs easy. Big fellow. I had heard a noise, and expected a coyote, bobcat, or “I don’t know what?”
Speaking of coyotes, the locals were also large with excellent coats.
A cougar’s range can be between 50 - 150 square miles.
Conservation officials always want to downplay reality.
Low IQ infiltrators on FreeRepublic don’t understand something.
The man in this thread, Curtis Jones, is like the black character Occam in the movie The Patriot. Remember this scene from the movie:

The infiltrators on this website are cowards more than anything else.
He’d never see it coming.
The son of the “Ain’t nobody got time fo’ dat!” gal? :-)
More like a mis-directed shape-shifting Hillery confused by the street sign. If it’s never seen there again, she made it to where she deserves to be now.
I love his line about “I don’t even do roller coasters” lol
I haven’t seen the video, but I suspect it’s just a clown mugging for the camera.
At first I wondered if it was something like this:
LINK: Loose 'lion' sparks 911 calls
I saw a "candid camera" type of thing like this a few years back, where they had a Golden Retriever with its fur cut like a lion, they let it run free in a park, then recorded a guy dressed up like some wildlife handler with khaki clothes going up to people telling them a lion got loose as they were transporting it! What was hilarious was, as the dog saw the people (being a Golden Retriever) it would run at them, tongue lolling in a big Golden Retriever smile to greet them, and the people would shriek and scatter!
Glad nothing bad happened to that dog, as one can only imagine, but...it WAS pretty funny!
Willing to fight is the point.
You seem unwilling to fight, even for your silly opinion on this thread.
Bet he doesn’t leave the porch at might for the next month.
That was the Battle of Yorktown. I’m proud to say my 7th great-grandfather was right there in the elite unit that flanked the Cornwallis troops.
Are some of the posters on this thread scheming to disparage the character of Curtis Jones?
What motivates them to do this?
I’m trying to think of a good adjective to describe posters who want to downplay the courage of Curtis Jones.
Every hunter I’ve spoken with, to a man, tells me they’re terrified of mountain lions. More than grizzlies or anything else.
None of them would be willing to pick up a bat against a lion.
But Curtis did.
