JFK Assassination Documents Reveal Long-Suspected CIA-Oswald Connection
Liberty Nation News ^ | Jul 8, 2025 | Leesa K. Donner

The charade is over, but what does it mean?

Another piece of the jigsaw puzzle has been made public in the decades-long drip, drip, drip of information regarding the JFK assassination. Newly released documents reveal — as was long suspected — that a CIA operative was tailing Lee Harvey Oswald. This comes despite multiple denials that anyone from the nation’s chief intelligence agency had been lurking around the 23-year-old who has held the title of lone assassin since John F. Kennedy’s murder in Dallas, TX, on Nov. 22, 1963.

One document from the 40 released on July 4 detailed surveillance of Oswald by CIA operative George Joannides operating under the alias “Howard Gebler.” In the memo dated Jan. 17, 1963, Joannides was instructed to obtain a false Virginia driver’s license under the “Gebler” name. Additionally, his cover would include representing himself as an “attorney” who lives in Northwest DC and wears glasses.

JFK Assassination — Tangled Web of Deceit

“Gebler” was assigned to infiltrate (and some say fund) student-led anti-Castro organizations, such as the Directorio Revolucionario Estudiantil, more commonly known as DRE. This permitted Joannides, aka Gebler, to come into contact with Oswald, who self-identified as a pro-Castro Marxist. In fact, a camera recording of a street fight in New Orleans between the DRE and Oswald, who was handing out Fair Play for Cuba pamphlets, was unearthed later.

Despite all this activity, the Central Intelligence Agency repeatedly denied any involvement with the DRE or Oswald. JFK assassination expert Jefferson Morley was quoted in Axios, saying, “The cover story for Joannides is officially dead,” adding, “This is a big deal. The CIA is changing its tune on Lee Harvey Oswald.”

To make matters worse, Joannides played a part “in deceiving the House Select Committee on Assassinations” and hiding “that he was involved with DRE...

The Warren Commission was nothing but a cover-up to hide the truth about the assassination and Oswald. I’m watching a famous attorney right now online live saying Oswald was innocent and he could have had him found not guilty. He’s never lost a case at the federal level. His name is Robert Tanenbaum.

He owned a .38 Special, yet they found a .380 cartridge at the scene. Odd.

I can't remember where I recently read it, but an eye witness stated it wasn't Oswald who shot officer Tippit.

Remember the Cold War at the time? Anyone who defected to Russia, married a Russian and wanted to come back to the United States shortly thereafter would’ve been severely scrutinized. But not Oswald and his bride. They had U.S. Passports ready for them immediately.

Why in the world would anybody film and document a supposed “nobody” handing out Pro-Castro leaflets on a New Orleans street corner if it was not going to be used later to incriminate him (Oswald)?

Oswald was a low level INTEL asset, recruited from the Marines and as a former soldier working from Atzuki Airbase in Japan who worked with U2s and learned Russian.

He “defected” to the USSR, renounced his American citizenship and then, a few years later, magically was granted to return to the States with some financial help from the State Dept.!!!

His cover was to play out the role of a Communist-Marxist sympathizer at home after being sent as a defector to the USSR. His tracks where made very clear for all to see so there could be no denial that he did what he did prior to the assassination.

Oswlad was in fact a loyal patriot from the extreme Right-wing school of General Walker (the man he supposed took a shot at).

He was recruited by the CIA, tracked by the FBI and played his role so superbly that all the information “leaked” by the CIA to the Press immediately after the assassination made him look like an assassin straight out of Moscow and Havana. I remember the newspaper headline: “Accused Pro-Red detained”.

THAT is exactly what the CIA, FBI, Secret Service and Joint Chiefs of Staff wanted and it worked beautifully. All attempts to distort the facts also worked well via the spoon-fed Warren Commission.

The proverbial question has been asked since 1963: IF Oswald was a lone Commie nut then why hold back and destroy evidence all these years? Simple enough.

Just look at the timing of the death of witnesses or those close to the case, including Mafia-CIA-FBI folks who died 1963-66 and them again, before the HSCA in 1978. Too many dead people (including Mary Pinchot-Meyer) to call it a coincidence.

Wake up from you slumber America.

“Killing JFK was an operation for CIA.”

We would need the CIA equivalent of Venona to conclude that. The absence of evidence is not evidence.

Otherwise yeah, it’s curious, and yeah, in retrospect JFK did roll over for the Soviets pretty easily. So it’s easy to wonder why they would want to do him in. However in rebuttal we should consider that the Soviets, like the US or any other nation, were not a monolithic political entity. There is an intrinsic tendency of large organizations to contain internal emergent factions pursuing apparently ignorant courses of action which might be apparently contradictory to the apparent best interests of the organization and/or each other.

The real players didn’t leave incriminating evidence. Most evidence is left to create doubt and diversion. Common sense works better. Johnson was a crook and hated JFK. The CIA hated JFK. The Mafia hated JFK. The CIA used Mafia hitman back then. Those nefarious groups worked together. Hoover came on board as well (not sure when, but FBI agents were early on intimidating witnesses and their testimony).

Ya.. the same mob that wouldn’t lay a hand on a local DA or even a street cop because they didn’t want the heat it would bring suddenly decides to kill the President. It makes no sense but I guess these goys don’t care if it makes sense.
