U.S. President Donald Trump has threatened to impose a 10 percent tariff on any country aligned with the BRICS group of nations, which includes Russia, delivering a potential economic blow to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The bloc—which also consists of Brazil, India, China, South Africa and five other emerging economies—held a summit over the weekend in which it condemned Trump's "indiscriminate" import tariffs and the Israeli-U. S. strikes on Iran.
Trump posted on Truth Social late on Sunday that "any country aligning themselves with the Anti-American policies of BRICS, will be charged an ADDITIONAL 10 percent Tariff," adding: "There will be no exceptions to this policy."

I don’t think there is a single item in my house that says made in Russia. This is not deliberate on my part. It’s just that if Russia went away most wouldn’t notice as Russia doesnt matter. A bunch of isolated alcoholics governed by a blundering Tyrant.

The Russians have bought the necessary machine tools and integrated circuit making equipment already.
Cellphones are quite capable. Their integrated circuits can be repurposed. There are lots of cellphones in Russia.

And that might push Xi over the edge. He might put his foot down and cut off the US economy. He could waive VAT for a short period of time to ensure increased Chinese domestic consumer demand.
Russia invaded with what they thought it would take to overthrow Ukraine within days to weeks, it was supposed to be a quick, relatively painless, and fairly clean operation.

LOL, yes, Russia and now North Korea have met resistance in their European war.
President Trump overturned Obama’s rule and made sure that Ukraine had the weapons to blunt that initial invasion and President Trump having American troops in Ukraine training them to fight Russia and to use those weapons well, also helped break that invasion launch and save the capitol and turn the easy empire building into a quagmire for our enemy Russia and their brother in arms, North Korea.
