Rufus Lee Cooper III, a rapper who used the stage name Young Noble, has died in an apparent suicide at the age of 47.
Noble was part of the 1990s group Outlawz - the last member to be handpicked by co-founder Tupac Shakur before the latter was gunned down in 1996.
Shakur's cousin E.D.I. Mean, another Outlawz member, heartbrokenly announced on Friday that Noble 'took his life this morning.'

Noble was still part of Outlawz at the time of his death, as was E.D.I. Mean, who broke the news of his passing on Instagram this Friday.
'Today I got some of the worst and unexpected news imaginable. My brother and partner for over 30 years took his life this morning. Rest in Power Rufus Young Noble Cooper,' wrote Mean, whose Christian name is Malcolm Greenridge

Rap IMO, is a godless violent cult, and what does "rest in power" supposed to mean?

Way way way down on my list of people I care about are Rappers...
Besides that, suicide is horrible and this man must of been in a seriously bad place.
RIP
suicide...most always a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Rap is poetry with a beat behind it. Because there is no melody it does not actually fall into the category of music in my opinion but other people have a different view point. They are wrong. :)
If it is good poetry it is quite pleasant. Older "spoken songs" as they used to be known are "Big John" by Jimmy Dean, "Cow Patty" by Jim Stafford or "A Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash. Yes, most of the first "rap" was country music. The irony.
The "Gangster Rap" "Drill Rap" or Mumble Rap" is a degenerate form of the art.

You want to tell Leonard Cohen fans that "You want it Darker" is "Tribal syncopated grunting" that is your right I suppose.
I am just going to stand way over here out of the splash zone.

None of those country songs you mentioned are rap.
And it is a stretch to call rap poetry since it is usually so hideous.
Rap also does not have harmony, which is a necessary component of music.

Percussive, mechanical, using urban slang and designed to be unintellegible or, if understandable, then violent and offensive. The Brutalist esthetic of rap is used to remove beauty from this "music".
Greg Allman; Was asked what he thought of Rap music...replied "They forgot the "C".

No, you do not wish anyone to commit suicide.

Well certainly no longer aspiring
