A Vietnam Airlines jet collided with a sister plane on the tarmac at Hanoi’s Noi Bai Airport, and shocking video shows the moment it slices through the aircraft’s tail fin in a wild runway collision.
The collision occurred at approximately 2 p.m. Friday, when a [Saigon]-bound Boeing 787 was taxiing for takeoff and struck an Airbus A321, parked on the tarmac, waiting to depart for Dien Bien, according to VNExpress.
The moment the planes collided was caught on video.

Vietnam Airlines has suspended the four pilots, two on each plane, in the wake of the accident, whose cause remains under investigation.
Preliminary findings suggest the Airbus was not parked correctly on the runway.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Did the pilots get out and exchange insurance info?
Tarmac rage.
Exactly.
RE: plane slices portion of the tail of another plane....
(Sorry to those who read my joke made up for a previous couple of accidents. And to those who want good taste in humor.)
The pilot said to the copilot
“When I land this thing I am going to get me a piece of tail.”
Getting some new tail isn’t always a bad thing.
RE: Did the pilots get out and exchange insurance info?
Flo was already there and they were thankful they had bundled their coverage with home, motorcycle and auto along with their personal liability from their flying jobs.
Even if it was parked in the wrong spot, you’d think pilots on the Boeing would know they didn’t have clearance.
Traffic rules apply - the person who had the ability to avoid the accident and didn’t is at fault.
Slicing through the tail easily like knife thru butter. Kinda like a jetliner sliced through WTC like knife through butter.
Glad this happened on the ground.
It was the right move to suspend all four involved pilots until things can be sorted out.
Yes....Wee Too Close and Ho Lee...well we all know the last name.
Sidewinder missiles would have worked better.
They graduated and went home. Enid was a safer place after that.
and their colleague Hyung Wei Lo is the one looking for the piece of tail…
Do they have DEI people in the tower or for ground control?
INCORRECT.
A pilot taxiiing on a defined taxiway has an expectation of clearance. It cannot always be determined from his cockpit that his aircraft is clear.
Tis but a scratch!
