Azealia Banks pulled out of a London festival and alleged that “the promoters” pressured her to support Palestine.
The 34-year-old singer slammed festival promoters in a lengthy post shared June 24 on X.
“So guys, I am cancelling Boomtown and Maiden Voyage, the promoters have been stressing me out for weeks trying to force me to say free Palestine and threatening to cut me from the bill because I won’t say free Palestine and I’m not dealing with the threats and I’m not putting on a f***ing hijab,” she wrote.
Banks was slated to perform at Burgess Park, London’s Maiden Voyage festival and at Boomtown, Hampshire, in August, according to The Standard.
And no, I’m not saying f*** actual Palestine. But f*** your dumb ass slogans and performative bullshit. Yall wanna make a stance so bad but stand for absolutely nothing. As soon as the media says pedophilia is “natural and normal,” You bitches will be right there talking about…

“They’re both basically trying to extort me – by insinuating that I need to say I support Palestine or they will drop me from the gig BUT I would much rather drop them and not associate with anything that has cheap group think bullshit attached to it,” Banks’ allegations continued.
“If they want to allow some no-name dj’s to bully them into desecrating the nature of this music ecosystem and make ME the issue – whilst there being absolutely no ethical consumption under capitalism. Then that’s fine,” she said.
“More thinly veiled racism And overt antisemitism from the f***ing gays for Hamas,” Banks claimed, writing “#F***PALESTINE” at the end of her post.
She shared another post about the alleged political pressure and further clarified her stance.
“And no, I’m not saying f*** actual Palestine. But f*** your dumb ass slogans and performative bullshit.,” she wrote.

“That war has been going on in the background for f***ing decades . Way before anyone alive today was born And all of a sudden yall are throwing around words like genocide and Zionist not even knowing the meaning of those words,” Banks continued.
“While you drive around in ur teslas and leave comments from your iPhones all built off the backs and the blood of children working in mines from dusk til dawn There is zero ethical consumption under capitalism. EVERYTHING IS CONNECTED TO EVERYTHING.”

Banks blasted the organizers again. “I don’t need to be on stage stressing out to appease some dumb ass protesters who literally rely on those people in Palestine being crushed so they can solicit donations they DO NOT give to the cause. Kiss my ass,” she wrote. Festival organizers denied applying pressure on Banks to support Palestine, according to The Standard.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
She should be THANKFUL that these types of ‘festivals’ are still permitted by their upcoming majority...because they won’t be for long.
So given that fact, I think it would be reasonable for her to wear a head-dress for this privilege.
“the promoters” pressured her to support Palestine”
That’s islam alright......NO free will.
I don’t really know who she is, but I kind of like her.
In France at a music festival last Saturday...
French authorities detained 12 suspects after 145 people reported being pricked with syringes during Fête de la Musique
"The interior ministry said 145 victims reported being stabbed with needles across the country, with Paris police reporting 13 cases in the capital."

Ms. Banks recognizes what the islamists really are all about; control of the population and turning England and Europe into muslim nations.
I don’t know anything about her, but I don’t blame her for being disgusted over all that pressure. They should just let singers sing, actors perform, and athletes play games without having to take up the latest political fad.
It seems she is mad at people wanting to force her to promote anti-Israel stances and of her wearing a hijab.
Very interesting to see someone fight back at this. I wonder how many other celebrities went along with promoting Free Palestine while not believing it—for the money.
People who support Palestine and Hamas, should be rounded up and sent to Gaza. If they like it so much... Go there and resurrect it from the sh*thole that it currently is... And make it into a free and secular state

Me too. Her statements are, let us say, bold and direct. No “progressive” wokeness there.
Out of curiosity I just looked her up. She’s quite the loose cannon. She supported Trump in 2016. Then she didn’t. Same goes for the 2024 race, and many other issues.
Anyway, the black/rapper community needs to hear different opinions, even if they are polluted with the f-word.
Smart, principled lady. Rare in the music business.
Always put Daniel Pearl in your foremost thoughts when engaging in any dialog or gathering with those faithful to Islam. Ignore what you see or hear. Pay attention to conduct and actions over time.
I hope more follow her lead and pull pull out as well. Hopefully their event will be a washout.
I don’t know her from any other person on the planet I’ve never met but DAY-um, gurrl, y’all just killed your career; whateverthehell it is.
“And no, I’m not saying fuck actual Palestine. But fuck your dumb ass slogans and performative bullshit. Yall wanna make a stance so bad but stand for absolutely nothing. As soon as the media says pedophilia is “natural and normal,” You bitches will be right there talking about…

I’m glad Kramer fought back.
Banks is incredibly brave, and I am stunned by how educated and literate she is. Had no idea.
I don’t know who she is, but good for her!
I noticed nobody seems upset with the use of the F word either. So I guess it's all good.
