We miss You Sir Chode and We shall try to keep The FR Formula 1 Threads going in Tribute to You, it's not going to be easy to do.

I am in the process of getting together info for making a Tribute/Memories Page for Sir Chode that will be available on the ~ FreeRepublic Memorial Wall ~ after I complete My searches for it all.

I knew him as a FRiend who lived in my area of Upstate NY, although we didn't meet in person. We traded comments and stories about common experiences here on the forum.

I did not know he had passed, so this is a bit of a shock. Prayers up for Chode and his family; may he be welcomed into the loving hand of God and RIP.

Thank Y’All. I has been a tough couple of weeks for Me. I’ve been on FR for 25 years now and Chode was one of the first I got to know. We talked often about the cancer for a few years and He asked Me to keep it to myself and not bring it up here on FR, it wasn’t easy to do but I promised Him.

I never made it up to see Him in person and it lives in My head constantly now.

I just try to remember that He is no longer in pain and in a way better place than we are now.

I will pass this along to His Stepdaughter next time We talk.
He was very wise and well spoken and they don’t make many like Him.

At least this is a proper race track. We lost Mark Donohue here. Plus the track is the home of the Niki Lauda Kurve.

Thank you for keeping Chode's memory alive with your work on his Memorial Wall, and thank you for filling his very large shoes with keeping the F1 threads going, but most importantly of all thank you for being such a good FRiend with Chode over the years.

Even if we never meet in person, we build very strong and lasting bonds here on FR with our fellow FReepers, and I know that Chode was very appreciative of your fellowship over these years.
