LSU Baseball singing along to “Courtesy Of The Red, White, And Blue” by Toby Keith in front of Charles Schwab Field in Omaha where the Tigers just secured their program’s 8th National Championship
“Evidently they consider war to be a spectator sport where you wave your pom-poms for your team.”
Looks like snow-flakism conquered your being. According to the self-righteous chiding of people like you, Americans can no longer be Americans, and that song gives one particular attribute. They were having fun with it.
Why don’t you take a trip to Iran and protest that regimes murderous activity, which they do indeed think is a spectator sport.
Years ago when it was still played at Rosenblatt, I sent a letter to a paper in Baton Rouge stating we need to rename Omaha to North Baton Rouge. They called me to verify & published it. Best college baseball fans in the world.
For or against it, war ain't a football game, Skippy.
Lots of people die.
If you think that's something to cheer for, I pity you.
Well it sure beats “Neck”.
I’ve noticed that the America hating left and the fringe nutjob “right” will often have the same opinions. Both loath any expression of American power and success because they both want America to lose.
That Toby Keith song came out in 2002 and is older than those kids. They probably listened to it in the car with dad.
“Struck a nerve, did I?”
No, you flatter yourself. I did not know this site atracted geldings.
“For or against it, war ain’t a football game, Skippy.”
Well, the article was not about war and it was a baseball game, Skippy.
“Lots of people die.”
I suppose you think you came up with a zinger with that one.
“If you think that’s something to cheer for, I pity you.”
I said not one word about war, it was a baseball game, I am a LSU baseball fan, and I am glad they won and were having a good time.
You are so stupid.
Go do some more bread and circuses
Huh? Thank God their nuclear ambitions regarding the need for enriched uranium was stymied. If they wish for nuclear power for energy supply, the world has no problem whatsoever.
Furthermore, I know that I would love to see the Iranian people free from the yoke of the Ayatollah!! But that is their dilemma, not mine.
I was lucky enough to attend the ‘96 final game of the CWS at Rosenblatt where LSU hit a walk off homer to beat Miami to win the natty. Had some beers with the Tigers fans in Dingerville that afternoon after the game. Those folks were WOUND UP!! Wonderful people and the best baseball fans. I have never experienced anything like that game and the postgame celebration. The people in Omaha love LSU and their fans.
Agree 100%. If it were up to me, they’d be invited to Omaha every year regardless of record.
