"I don’t know anyone in America who has been the victim of a crime or killed by Iran,..."

No, I didn't personally know any of the 241 Marines who were killed in the Iranian attack in Lebanon, but they still matter. As do the thousands killed and wounded by Iranian IEDs in Iraq.

And the list goes on.

I've always liked MJT, but also understand she isn't among our "best and brightest".

1. The U.S. military had no business being in Beirut in the first place.

2. The same is true about Iraq.

You’re making MTG’s point.

Concur,

I remember November 4, 1979, when Iranian students seized the U.S. embassy in Tehran and held 66 American diplomats and citizens hostage. That was an attack on the USA.

Greene should be replaced by someone more faithful.

I must agree with you and a few others. Her mouth often runs wild while her brain is still sleeping. I’ve caught her making remarks that are not historically accurate. Some of them have pissed me off. Today is another example.

I would say she’s our AOC, only a little brighter. She’s not presidential material, if that’s her goal by perpetually running her mouth.

I know someone who was maimed by a Palestinian suicide bomber who was financed by Iran. Changed her life for sure. So I say, Iran’s terror network needs to leave this dimension.

This bears repeating.

Iran has, indeed, repeatedly attacked the U.S. and killed/murdered many Americans. How could she so casually dismiss that - ESPECIALLY when she’s got the entire Congressional Research Service to gather and summarize information for her - before she impulsively spouts off and makes a fool of herself, AND gives succor to our enemies (foreign and) by projecting disunity.

I have a great deal of admiration for MTG most of the time, but when she misses the mark, she misses it by miles. She is acting exactly like the isolationists before World War II, having seemingly failed to learn any lessons about appeasing avowed enemies (or just leaving them alone to bring their plans to fruition) from the entire World War II experience. What does she think that we are supposed to do regarding a theocratic gangster regime that has killed or murdered thousands of Americans over the last 46 years, which constantly threatens “Death to America!,” is attempting to develop atomic weapons and is engaged in a long-term program to develop intercontinental ballistic missiles capable of hitting not merely our allies and bases in Europe, but the United States itself? It is all fine and well to stay out of foreign conflicts, and it would be a much better world if this country could remain unaffected by the mental illness that affects much of the rest of the world, but our history shows that when America is isolationist, world wars result - and we get dragged in anyway at very great cost in blood and treasure. When America was isolationist, there were two world wars within a generation, but since we’ve been more involved in world affairs, there hasn’t been a single one in three generations. Maybe MTG could connect the dots? Maybe, MTG could also express her reservations in private, rather than making a public spectacle of her failure to back the President of the United States who, after all, is privy to a LOT more information than she has access to?

Again, I normally back her and like her positions on most issues, but in this particular case, she is a blithering idiot.
