You’re assuming that there is a kernel of truth to this story. I’m guessing that this operation was planned and executed on a strict “need to know” basis; there wouldn’t have been many pizza parties at the Pentagon last night.

These articles pop up with every war the US has had over the past couple of decades. I hope someone at the Pentagon is smart enough to not have pizza deliveries be a tell on whether we are about to go to war.
