“The people who are described as on-air ‘talent’ have destroyed what was once considered the foundation of cable news”

The “on air talent” got away with what Management allowed them to for the last 20 years. Screw them all.

Jeffrey Toobin, CNN's "chief legal analyst" was rehired by CNN bosses after he masturbated in front of everyone on a CNN teleconference call.

It makes you wonder what dirt he had on others at CNN that they'd keep him around.

“on air talent” are not the boss.

Someone either brought in hard left talking heads to convey the network’s leftist slant because they are like minded, OR they didn’t properly vet them and permitted the “talent” to shape the narrative themselves, OR the “talent” were neither not political biased and the network producers and bosses gave them the left slanted content to “report”.

No matter which way it came down, there is no blaming the “on air talent” alone. They network either got what they wanted, or they didn’t stop what they should have.

Their last audience is Leftist Boomers. That group ain’t getting any bigger and has a limited life expectancy. They already flushed their credibility down the toilet with Gen X, Millenials and Gen Z all of whom don’t watch.

I prefer “increasing liability” to “declining asset.”

Cable need is a dying industry.

When the Boomers are gone, it will be a relic of a time gone by

“Tears on the horizon” is a pretty weak metaphor. I prefer “the walls are closing in,” or “the noose is tightening.”

It was better back in the days of Lynne Russell, Natalie Allen, Laurin Sidney, and others.

The airport channel and the masturbation channel?

CNN is also being dealt a serious blow by more people switching to streaming services rather than cable. Just about every cable programming package includes CNN and provides some revenue to CNN. CNN also receives revenue from broadcasts in airports and hotel lobbies, but that too is drying up. Advertising on CNN can’t command high prices due to their ever dwindling audience. I expect CNN to go bankrupt or be bought up very cheaply.
